  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: PhD degree coursework in Informatics: ICSA: Computer Architecture, Compilation and System Software, Networks, and Communication.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must have to meet the following eligibility criteria:
  • Must have a solid background in computer architectures and machine learning.
  • Proficient skills in C, C++, and Python.
  • Must have a 1st class Bachelor’s degree and/or Distinction Master’s degree in computer science or highly related subjects.
  • Knowledge of deep learning, optimization, distributed systems, and high-performance computing is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Dr. Mai’s recent AI system research.

  • How to Apply: To be considered for the scholarships, applicants first have to take admission in a PhD degree programme at the Edinburgh School of Informatics. After that, candidates should apply via the University’s admissions portal (EUCLID).
  • Supporting Documents: Students must submit all degree transcripts and certificates (and certified translations if applicable), a short research proposal (max 2 pages), a full CV and cover letter describing your background, suitability for the PhD, and research interests (max 2 pages) and two references.
