University of Exeter Business School International MRes + PhD Scholarships in Management and Business

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a 1-year or 2-year MRes program and a 3-year PhD program in the following:
  • Management & Accounting
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must be either home or international students applying for a 1-year or 2-year MRes program or 3 year PhD program at the University of Exeter Business School.
  • Applicants need an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: To apply for the PhD award, applicants will need to complete the application form and upload the documents via the link – Apply Now
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must upload the following documents in the online application:
  • An essay of no more than 750 words maximum explaining (1) why you are applying for the scholarship, (2) why you are a suitable recipient of the scholarship and (3) your expectations for the MRes + PhD in your chosen pathway.
  • A CV of no more than 2 pages
  • The official transcript or certified copy of university grades from all past degrees
  • Two academic reference letters (one must be the most recent institution): The preferred format is PDF, each file named with your surname and the name of the document, eg. “Smith – CV.pdf”, “Smith – Cover Letter.pdf”, “Smith – Transcript.pdf”.
  • If relevant, valid, original English language proficiency test
  • Admission Requirements: Entry requirements for research programs vary and are dependent on applicants’ previous academic qualifications, experience and personal qualities. Check the full criteria here.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must have excellent English language proficiency and provide a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Cambridge score report (if required).

Benefits

The University of Exeter Business School will provide two funding schemes that provide fully funded MRes to PhD scholarships. Annual total (i.e., remuneration + stipend): £21,789.60

  • Full tuition fees at UK/International fee rate
  • Remuneration for 180 hours teaching: circa £3238.20 (2022/23 rate, subject to tax & National Insurance)
  • Annual stipend: £18551.40 (2022/23 rate)
  • Students are additionally eligible for funding to support their research, development and conference attendance.
