University of Oxford Said Business School Jacobs Foundation Scholarships in UK, 2019

The University of Oxford Said Business School is offering Jacobs foundation scholarships to pursue an undergraduate & postgraduate degree program.

This award seeks to attract top students who demonstrate the potential to make exceptionally strong contributions to the K-State student body, both in the classroom and in the extracurricular life of the campus.

The scholarships are open to candidates with a strong interest in the field of youth and child development. Jacobs Foundation scholars have an entrepreneurial vision, are dedicated to social issues, and usually have a minimum of three years’ work experience. The Jacobs Foundation Scholars will also be committed to the goals of the Jacobs Foundation.

Scholarship Description:

  • Application Deadline: January 11, 2019
  • Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate & postgraduate degree program.
  • Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded to all the subjects offered by the university
  • Scholarship Award: The scholarship will be awarded to the students up to £26,500.
  • Number of Scholarships: Two Scholarships are awarded.
  • Nationality: The scholarships are available to the candidate must be ordinarily resident in one of the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Benin, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Holy See, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Ivory Coast, Latvia, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mali, Malta, Mauritania, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Togo, United Kingdom, United States. (With a preference for Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Ghana, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany and Romania.)

Eligibility for the Scholarship:

  • Eligible Countries: The scholarships are available to the candidate must be ordinarily resident in one of the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Benin, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Holy See, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Ivory Coast, Latvia, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mali, Malta, Mauritania, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Togo, United Kingdom, United States. (With a preference for Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin, Ghana, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany and Romania.)
  • Entrance Requirements: Candidates must have an interest in the following areas (in order of priority):
  1. Childhood development, learning education (ed-tech, early-ed, parenting, brain development);
  2. Agricultural development in Africa (food security, microfinance, supply-chain);
  3. Impact investment, with a preference for education.
  4. Candidates who have industry experience from the NGO, education or government sector are welcome to apply.
  1. Applicants with the first degree from a recognized university and academically talented, disadvantaged based on the criteria of disability, socioeconomic status, and are not engaged at work at all or have been engaged at work but couldn’t able to cover their study expenses will be eligible for the scholarship.
  2. Have financial difficulty to finance graduate university education and,
  3. Have leadership/community giveback experience or potential.

Application Procedure: 

How to Apply: You must submit an additional Jacobs Foundation scholarship essay in the funding section of your program application form.  This essay should cover how you meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarship and should be a maximum of 500 words.
