2016 University of Queensland Winter Research Program In Australia

University of Queensland is pleased to offer Summer Internships in Australia for UQ Research Program. The UQ Winter Research Program is open to undergraduate, honors, or masters by coursework students. The program is designed for currently enrolled students. The program is open to undergraduate students from The University of Queensland. Applications close on 4 April, 2016. No late application will be accepted.

Eligibility: The UQ Winter Research Program is open to undergraduate, honors, or masters by coursework students, who:
-Are currently enrolled at UQ at the time of application;
-Have completed at least one year of study at the time of application;
-Studying for a degree relevant to the research discipline; and
-Have a high level of academic achievement during their undergraduate degree.
-*Please note: Not all research units offer placements/projects each year. Please contact the specific research area for further information.
-All Winter Research placements are awarded competitively, and project allocation is decided by the Faculty, School, Research Centre or Institute where the research is undertaken.

Internship Open for International Students: The program is designed for currently enrolled students. The program is open to undergraduate students from The University of Queensland.

Is this paid internship? All selected Winter Research scholars will receive a Winter Research Grant.  Winter Research Grants are valued at $1000 and will be awarded based on academic merit, motivation for participating in the program, and the enrolling units nomination.

Internship Description: The UQ Winter Research Program provides you with an opportunity to gain research experience working alongside some of the university’s leading academics and researchers. By participating, you’ll be able to extend your knowledge of an area of interest and develop your analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Internship Duration: Research projects are available in many disciplines for between 4-6 weeks over the winter vacation period (from mid-June to mid-July).

Notification: Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application once the selection process is completed.  All applicants will be notified if they will be invited to participate in the program by Friday 20 May, 2016.
