2013 USQ McNab Construction Scholarship for Undergraduate Students in Australia

For the 2013 academic year, the University of Southern Queensland in Australia offers one McNab Construction Scholarship. The scholarship is offered to commence or continue studies in a Bachelor of Construction in semester 1, 2013.

Only Australian students are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Applicant must be enrolled at Toowoomba campus and be studying on-campus, external or on-line. The scholarship will have a maximum value of $5,000. Applications for the scholarship will be submitted by post till 15th March 2013.

Eligibility

To be eligible applicants must:

  • be an Australian Citizen or have permanent resident status
  • commence their studies in a Bachelor of Construction in Semester 1, 2013 or
  • continue their studies in a Bachelor of Construction in Semester 1, 2013
  • be enrolled at Toowoomba campus
  • be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2
  • be studying on-campus, external or on-line.

Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Australian students can apply for the scholarship.

A number of awards offered: USQ will offer one McNab Construction Scholarship.

What does it cover? The scholarship will have a maximum value of $5,000.

Selection Criteria: Applicants will: submit a personal statement indicating: why they believe they deserve this Scholarship, a description of their career aims and goals and how the scholarship will assist them to achieve their future career plans
-provide evidence of academic achievement eg High School report card; or post-secondary academic history as applicable
-have a high level of academic achievement
-demonstrate a history of involvement within their school, extracurricular activities or within their local community.

How to Apply

Students commencing study in Semester 1, 2013 must complete the USQ Scholarship Application Form.
Students studying during 2012 must complete the USQ Continuing Students Scholarships Application Form.
Submit the application and all supporting documents by post
Applicants completing their Year 12 studies in 2012 must also attach a Statement of Support with their application.
