To empowering the Cuban students in education, various worldwide institutes and organizations are providing higher education facilities abroad. Financial aids are being offered for all course levels undergraduate, post graduates and post doctoral. Here is the list of various international scholarships offered for Cuban students.
Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) for Undergraduate and Graduate, 2014
ELAP is offering scholarships for the students of Latin America and the Caribbean nations. It is providing opportunities to students for undergraduate and graduate levels. Students or researchers remain registered as full time students in their home institution. Scholarship funds will cover living expenses, visa expenses and other allowances. Scholarship recipients must arrive in Canada by the first week of January 2014.
The Finnish Government offers Cuban scholarships of 3-9 months for Doctoral level studies and research at Finnish universities or public research institutes. The Finnish Government Scholarship Pool programme is open to young researchers from all academic fields. In order to be eligible, applicant must successfully apply for a study/research placement at a Finnish university/public research institute. The annual deadline set by CIMO for the nomination of scholarship candidates by the national authorities is 14 February.
CIUF-CUD Scholarships in Belgium, 2014
CIUF is offering 150 scholarships for participation into the courses and 70 for participation into the training programmes for the academic year of 2014-2015. Applicants originating from developing countries, can qualify for selection. To be eligible, candidates must reside and work in their country at the time of the introduction of the file.
Edinburgh Global Latin-American Masters Scholarships, 2014
The University of Edinburgh is offering scholarships for latin American nations. Twelve Edinburgh Global Latin American Masters Scholarships are available to students from eligible countries for postgraduate Master’s study in any subject for the 2014-2015 academic session. Each scholarship will have a value of £5,000 and will be tenable for one academic year. The application deadline is 1st April, 2014.
Marshal Papworth Scholarships for Developing Countries in UK, 2014
Marshal Papworth Trust is offering scholarships for the students of developing countries. The scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate and a short course programmes in the fields of Sustainable Development, International Horticulture, Project Management and Economic Development. The scholarships are designed to fund the majority of tuition fees, living expenses and travel costs. The application deadline is 24th March, 2014.
US/Canada Grants for Students of Latin American Countries, 2014/15
Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund is offering award for women applicants of Latin American nations to pursue their degree in the USA and Canada. Applicants must enrolled (in residence) at an accredited U.S. or Canadian educational institution for the academic year 2014-15. An MMMF grant covers only a portion of the total costs for an academic year. Therefore, applicants need to access other financial resources. Application deadline is January 15, 2014.
International Climate Protection Fellowships in Germany, 2014
Federal Environment Ministry’s (BMU) is funding up to 20 International Climate Protection Fellowships for a period of one year in Germany. Fellowships are available for prospective leaders to conduct a research-based project in the field of climate protection and climate-related resource conservation during a one-year stay in Germany. Funding covers fellowship amount per month which includes a mobility lump sum and a contribution towards health and liability insurance. Online application will be submitted by 15 March 2014.
RNTC Fellowships for Developing Countries’ Students in Netherlands, 2014/15
RNTC is offering fellowships for the students of developing countries. RNTC’s Fellowships are available for professional journalism, broadcast training etc. RNTC Fellowships are unlike NFP fellowships Partial: they cover the course fee (up to 50%), not the costs for travel and accommodation. The fellowships will be awarded on academic and professional merit. Deadline varies for various courses.
