FIG Foundation is offering PhD scholarships for applicants from low-income, lower-middle or upper-middle income economy. The FIG Foundation will be providing scholarships of up to 4,000 euros to PhD students. Applicant must be studying for a PhD degree and registered solely in a surveying/geomatics academic programme that teaches surveying are eligible to apply. The application deadline is February 1, 2017.
High Achiever Foundation Prize for African Students in UK
University of Nottingham is inviting applications for high achiever foundation prizes available for African students. Applicants must already hold an offer to start a full-time foundation programme at Nottingham in September 2017. Three undergraduate high achiever prizes of £2,000 towards tuition fees. The application deadline is April 21, 2017.
Austrian Government OeAD Ernst Mach Follow-up Grants
Austrian Federal Ministry of Education and Science (BMWF) is inviting post-docs from Non-European Developing Countries to apply for OeAD Ernst Mach Follow-up Grants. OAS-VUB Masters Scholarship Program in Belgium
The Organization of American States (OAS) and the Free University of Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel i.e. VUB), through the OAS Partnerships Program for Education and Training (PAEC) are inviting applications Masters Scholarship Program from OAS member state. EDCTP-TDR Clinical Research and Development Fellowships
WHO/TDR will fund fellows employed by a research institution (home organisation) in any LMICs for placements in pharmaceutical companies and PDPs (host organisations) either in or outside Europe. EDCTP will fund fellows employed by a sub-Saharan African home organisation for placements in European-based pharmaceutical hosting organisations to train and develop specific clinical research skills of relevance to developing interventions against PRDs.
Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowship for Women from Developing Countries in USA
Fellowships are available for applicants who have completed a Bachelor’s degree, who have been accepted into a graduate program and whose graduate work is to be focused on issues related to the goals of IPRA. The Fellowships provide $5,000 per year for two years for both women, for a total of $10,000 each. Applications are due by January 15, 2016.
Rothamsted International Fellowship Scheme in UK
Rothamsted International Fellowship Scheme is available for mid-career postdoctoral scientists with a minimum of 2 years experience from developing countries. Candidates without higher degrees but with equivalent research experience will also be considered. Fellowships must be between six to twelve months in duration. The proposed research should be in a field of direct relevance to development issues of the Fellow’s home country. The application deadline is 14 December.
Lord Walston Scholarship for African Students at University of East Anglia
University of East Anglia is awarding Lord Walston Scholarship for African students. Scholarship is awarded to undertake MA Agriculture and Rural Development, the MSc Environment and International Development or the MSc Climate Change and International Development programme. Franklin Mosher Baldwin Memorial Fellowships for Developing Countries
The Leakey Foundation is inviting applications for Franklin Mosher Baldwin Memorial Fellowships. These fellowships are intended for scholars and students of a developing country who wish to obtain an advanced degree from an institution outside the student’s home country. It is limited to two years of support. The maximum award is limited to $15,000 per year. The application deadline is February 16.
Centre of African Studies Visiting Research Fellowship in UK
The Centre of African Studies at the University of Cambridge is offering two visiting research fellowships. These fellowships awarded in all the disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. Each award is worth up to £14,000, out of which travel, college accommodation, maintenance costs and medical insurance will be paid by the Centre on behalf of the fellow. The maximum duration of a fellowship is six months and is non-renewable. The application deadline is 15 January.
David E I Pyott Master of Surgery in Clinical Ophthalmology Scholarship in UK

Central America and Caribbean (CAC) Peace Fellowship in Guatemala
Peace Revolution is offering Central America and Caribbean (CAC) Peace Fellowship at Villa Sumalla Retreat Center in Guatemala that will take place between 13 – 17 May 2015. Up to 30 participants will be selected who are between 18-30 years old and have completed 21 days of the online self-development program. Participants will learn how meditation can help them achieve inner peace in a 5 days retreat. The fellowship will cover accommodation, catering, local transportation from airport to the retreat, retreat fee, promotional material for use of participants and full sponsoring of airfare. Edinburgh Global Latin-American Masters Scholarships in UK
The University of Edinburgh is inviting application for Latin-American masters scholarships. Six Edinburgh Global Latin American Masters Scholarships are available to students from eligible countries for postgraduate Master’s study in any subject offered by the University for the 2015-2016 academic session. Each scholarship will have a value of £5,000, to be deducted from tuition fees, and will be tenable for one academic year. Ford Motor Company International Fellowship of 92nd Street Y in USA
Applications are invited for Ford Motor Company international fellowships to undertake an intensive three-week nonprofit management training course in New York. Applications only from community leaders who are living and working in Bangladesh, Brazil, People’s Republic of China, Cuba; Detroit; Michigan (USA); India; Israel; Jordan; Mozambique; and the Russian Federation are accepted. Fellows are obliged to complete written assignments and required reading prior to and following their residency in New York. Airfare, accommodation, food, transportation, instruction, and other program-related expenses are included in the fellowship. Each participant receives a stipend upon arrival. TWAS-USM Fellowships for Visiting Researchers in Malaysia
TWAS-Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is inviting applications for fellowships for visiting researchers. Fellowships are open for scientists from developing countries (other than Malaysia) who wish to pursue advanced research in natural sciences. Fellowships are tenable for a minimum period of one month to a maximum of three months at a school/department of the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program
The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and OCLC jointly sponsor up to five individuals annually to participate in a four-week intensive Early Career Development Fellowship program based at OCLC’s headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, USA. The Fellows visit many libraries, cultural heritage institutions and library organizations. Promising library and information science professionals from Developing Countries who are in early stages of career development and who meet all of the qualifications are encouraged to apply. MS International Federation McDonald Fellowships for Developing Countries in UK
MS International Federation is awarding a number of McDonald Fellowships to young researchers from emerging countries. Fellowships enable the recipient to travel to an established research institution to work with leading researchers in MS with a view to returning to their own country to establish a programme of MS research. The fellowship consists of a two-year grant, around UK £30,000 per year, to cover travel and living costs, and an additional contribution of UK £2,000 per year to the host institution. The deadline for nominations is 30 June.
ANZCA International Scholarship in Australia or New Zealand
Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists is offering training scholarship available for the citizens of a developing country to pursue additional training in Australia or New Zealand. The scholarship is designed to increase the recipient’s capacity to advance anaesthesia and/or pain medicine for the benefit of his or her community. The scholarship is intended to allow the recipient to join the staff of a major hospital or rotation in Australia or New Zealand for a period of up to one year. The Finnish Government offers Cuban scholarships of 3-9 months for Doctoral level studies and research at Finnish universities or public research institutes. The Finnish Government Scholarship Pool programme is open to young researchers from all academic fields.
