Mauritius-Africa Scholarships for Undergraduate Students 
Government of Mauritius is offering Africa scholarships for pursuing undergraduate study at public tertiary education institutions in Mauritius. Up to 50 scholarships will be awarded for a maximum of four (4) years depending on the course duration. Scholarship will cover a monthly living allowance of Rs 8,300, annual tuition fees of up to Rs 100,000 and Airfare (economy class student fare) for the most economical route at the start and end of the studies. Application should be submitted till 30th June 2014.

Alma Graduate School MBA Scholarships
Applications are invited for MBA scholarships for African students for the Academic Year 2014-2015. Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree, be proficient in English and have 2 years of professional experience. 10 scholarships are offered. Each of the 10 Scholarships includes 100% cover of tuition fee and grant up to €10,000 to cover travel expenses to Italy and living costs in Bologna during the MBA program. Applications should be submitted till May 5 and June 30, 2014.

John Moores International Undergraduate Scholarships
Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is offering undergraduate scholarships for international students (Africa, the ASEAN countries, the People’s Republic of China or Commonwealth countries). The scholarship consisting of a £6,000 first year tuition fee waiver will be awarded to ten exceptional new students joining the University in September 2014. The application deadline is 16th June 2014.

Africa LLM/MSc Scholarship in UK, 2014/2015
University of Edinburgh Law School is offering Law scholarship for LLM/MSc applicants who are African nationals. The 2014/15 scholarship will give preference to qualified applicants from Central Africa, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, DRC, CAR, Cameroon, Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Mali, Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia and Guinea. The application deadline is 23rd May, 2014.

MRC TEG Training Fellowship Scheme in Medical Statistics, 2014
UK Medical Research Council (MRC) is offering training fellowship to undertake two years MSc training in Medical Statistics. For the first year the successful applicant will study for the MSc degree in Medical Statistics at the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (LSHTM). Applicants must be resident in and a national of a country in sub-Saharan Africa. Application should be submitted till 30th April 2014.

PhD Scholarship Programme in Global Change and Climate Economics
Applications are invited for six full PhD scholarships in the field of Global Change and Climate Economics at the University of Gothenburg. Scholarships are only open to applicants from developing countries and in particular Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. The program span is four to five years. Application should be submitted till 1st April, 2014.

Africa Postgraduate Scholarship in UK, 2014
Nottingham Trent University is offering Postgraduate Scholarship for Africans within the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment. To be eligible you’ll need to apply for one of the School’s Masters courses to start your studies in September 2014, by Monday 30 June 2014, and be offered a place on the course. Each scholarship is to the value of £6,000. The application deadline is 30 June 2014.

Ferguson Scholarships for African Students
Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable trust is offering scholarships for African students. Scholarships are available for pursuing Full time MA degree in the field of African Studies, International Studies and Diplomacy and Social Anthropology of Development at SOAS, University of London. Scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit. The application deadline is 1 May 2014.

African Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowships
The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), in partnership with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is offering about 20 doctoral dissertation research fellowships. Each award will be up to a maximum of US$10,000. These fellowships will be awarded to doctoral students who are within two years of completing their thesis at an African university. Application should be submitted till March 20, 2014.

British Council Scotland Commonwealth Scholarships
Applications are invited for British Council Scotland Commonwealth Scholarships available for students from Commonwealth countries. Scholarships are open for literature and creative writing students to attend the summer school. Two 2-week Literature scholarships and one 4-week Creative Writing scholarship will be awarded. Applications should be submitted till 21st March 2014.

International Scholarship Scheme UK, 2014
Southampton Solent University is offering a limited number of international scholarship scheme for pursuing a full-time course at university for 2014 entry. Applicants can apply if they are from one of the following areas: Africa, Bangladesh, Japan, North and South America, India, Pakistan, South Korea, Turkey and UK. The application deadline is 31 July 2014.

RSM MBA Scholarships for International Students in Netherlands
Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University is offering MBA scholarships for international students. These scholarships are applicable for the international full-time MBA Programme commencing January 2015. Each scholarship value of 10,000 Euros will be waived from the MBA tuition fee. Candidates must submit their MBA application by 14 October 2014

Masters Fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine
Wellcome Trust is offering masters fellowships for junior researchers to gain research experience and high-quality research training at Master’s degree level. Fellows must be based in a low- or middle-income country for their research project. A Fellowship normally provides up to 30 months’ support. The application deadline is 15 August 2014.

Steve Huckvale Scholarships for Zambians
University of Bath is offering scholarships for Zambians. Each Scholarship is worth £5,000. Each is awarded as a discount in tuition fees and is for one year only. There are two scholarships available. Scholarships cannot be deferred to a later year. The application deadline is 30th June 2014.

Dorothy Nicol Scholarship for Zambians
University of Stirling is offering scholarship for Zambians for entry in September 2014. Scholarship of £5,000 towards the maintenance costs of a student will be awarded. In addition, Stirling Management School will fund £5,000 towards the programme fees as part of this Scholarship. The application deadline is 10th June 2014.

Masters Scholarships for Zambians
Scholarships for Zambians are available for pursuing masters’ degree level at University of Auckland. The basis of selection will be academic merit and a written statement. Preference may be given to students not receiving other financial assistance. To continue to hold the Scholarship, the recipient must maintain a GPA of 5.00 in each quarter of study. The application deadline is 1 June 2014.

International Students House Residential Scholarships for Zambians
Applications are invited for residential scholarships in London for the September 2014 intake. Preference will be given to postgraduate students who are studying a course that will provide skills to assist in the development of their home country. Students must have a good proven academic record, with every prospect of success in their study and future careers. Applications will close on May 31st 2014.

Professor Arthur Li Development Scholarship
University of the West of England offers master scholarship for the students from developing Commonwealth countries. Applicants must have achieved the equivalent of a British 1st in their undergraduate degree. One scholarship will be offered for one year. The scholarship will provide full tuition fee. The application deadline is 31st May 2014.

Edinburgh Global Health Academy Masters Scholarship
University of Edinburgh is offering one full-time masters scholarship on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent. One Scholarship is offered for the duration of the course. The application deadline is 30 May 2014.

UCL IGH African Graduate Scholarships
UCL Institute for Global Health is offering a small number of graduate scholarships for African students. Scholarships will be awarded towards tuition fees and living costs while studying at IGH. The candidate must have made an application and been accepted to UCL to study for a full-time postgraduate programme at the Institute for Global Health for the coming academic year. Applications should be submitted till May 9, 2014.

Intermediate Fellowships for Developing Countries
Wellcome Trust is offering research fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. The fellowships are awarded for up to five years and provide a basic salary. It covers research expenses and training costs. Applicants must have a relevant high-quality publication record and show potential to become a future scientific leader. Fellowships will be offered for up to five years (non-renewable). Preliminary application deadline is 25 April 2014 and full application deadline is 4 July 2014.

Wellcome Trust International Engagement Awards
Wellcome Trust is offering awards for research applicants for 2014 intake. Applicants must be or collaborating with a researcher, research group or institution to provide expertise in the area of biomedical science you are exploring.  The scholarships will provide up to £30,000 for three years. Applications should be submitted till 18th April 2014.

UCL Global Excellence Graduate Scholarships for Zambians
Scholarships for Zambians are available for pursuing graduate degree level at University College London. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, achievement and potential. The scholarships consist of £5,000 and are tenable for one year only. Students must have received an offer of a place from the department by the final deadline of 11 April 2014 to be considered.

Edinburgh Global Development Academy Masters Scholarships for Zambians
Scholarships for Zambians are available for pursuing masters’ degree level at University of Edinburgh. Applicants must have or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Online application deadline is 11 April 2014.

British Council Scotland Commonwealth Scholarships
Scholarships for Zambians are available for literature and creative writing students to attend the summer school. Two 2-week Literature scholarships and one 4-week Creative Writing scholarship will be awarded. This will cover the summer school’s course and accommodation fees. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need. The application deadline is 21st March 2014.

Canon Collins Scholarships for Zambians
Scholarships for Zambians are available for pursuing master’s degree level in UK. There are approximately 7 scholarships which include full tuition fees, a monthly stipend, a return economy flight, a settling-in allowance and other support whilst in the UK. Applicants must have at least 2 years work experience in a relevant field. Online application deadline is 10th March 2014.

University of Groningen Talent Grant
Grant is awarded to students who have been admitted to one of the Faculty of Arts Research Master’s Programmes. Grant is provided in the field of Art History and Archaeology, Classical Medieval and Renaissance Studies and Literary and Cultural Studies. The grant is usually awarded for a maximum of 2 years for a Master’s degree programme. Application should be submitted till 1st March, 2014.

Georg Forster Research Fellowship 
The Humboldt Foundation grants up to 80 Georg Forster Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers from developing and emerging countries. Applicants must have completed PhD or comparable academic degree. Fellowships are available for periods of 6-24 months. Applications may be submitted any time from 1.7.2013 until mid-2015.

RNTC Fellowships for Developing Countries’ Students 
Fellowships are available for RNTC postgraduate courses of different duration. RNTC Fellowships cover the course fee (up to 50%), not the costs for travel and accommodation. The fellowships will be awarded on academic and professional merit. The deadlines for application vary according to the subjects.

Call for Researchers: KFPE’s Learning Events Programme 
The applications are invited for pursuing research programme. The total available amount of CHF 150’000 will be allocated to 3-4 projects. Applications must show that the proposed learning event is embedded in a research partnership project or programme. Learning events must last from a minimum of 5 days to a maximum of 1 month. The deadline for applications is 28th February 2014.

TWAS Prizes for Developing Countries’ Scientists
The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) is awarding eight prizes of USD 15,000 each to individual scientists. Selection of the awardees is made on scientific merit and on the recommendations of the selection committees composed of TWAS members. Nominations of women scientists are particularly encouraged. Applications will close on 28th February 2014.

CAS-TWAS President’s Postgraduate Fellowship Programme
Fellowships are available for PhD study and research at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) or Institutes of CAS around China. Applicants must hold a master degree before the beginning of the fall semester September, 2014. The application deadline is 28th February 2014.

Canada-Africa Research Exchange Grants
Grants are available for research program at Canadian and African universities and research institutes. 10-11 grants will be awarded for approximately 20 months to carry out research. Support through this program will be cost-shared on a 2:1 ratio by the program and the partner institutions, respectively. The maximum value of each grant will be $40,000 Cdn. Application deadline is February 18, 2014.
