Academic Scholarships For Swimmers, 2018

There are various academic scholarships for swimmers to support them financially and for helping them in achieving their goal. Academic scholarships for swimmers are advantageous for those swimmers who are facing problems in achieving their higher studies. There are various universities which are providing academic scholarships for swimmers and helping them. Each scholarship which is provided to the swimmers has its different criteria and advantages for the applicants.

NSPF® Scholarships Program: The National Swimming Pool Foundation is a non-profit foundation whose mission is to encourage healthier living by increasing aquatic activity through education and research. Several scholarship awards are available. Recipients of specific awards will be determined by NSPF after reviewing all applications. These include National Swimming Pool Foundation Board of Directors’ Scholarship Award of $2, 000 each, National Swimming Pool Foundation Scholarship Award (up to 12) of $1,000 each. Only one scholarship per applicant will be awarded. Previous award recipients are ineligible for consideration. These scholarships are awarded for the fall semester of each year. The application will be available till fall 2017.

Swim for the Future ScholarshipThe Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics (AGUA) Swim Team is one of the most diverse youth swim teams in the country. This is due in part to the Swim for the Future Scholarship, which gives children with financial need a chance to pursue the dream of competitive swimming. To be eligible for the Swim for the Future Scholarship, applicant must be a current AGUA Swim Team member. The deadline for all scholarship materials is June 15, 2015.

Topeka Swim Association Scholarship: Topeka Swim Association Scholarship (TSA) is available to applicants who show willingness and commitment to participate as an active member of the TSA Swim Club and who would be unable to participate without financial aid. Scholarships may be awarded to offset the cost of TSA Club Dues and attendance at out of state National level meets including, Sectionals, Grand Prix, Jr. Nationals, Nationals and Olympic Trials. Each swimmer is eligible for a maximum of two meet scholarships within a 12 month period. The TSA Board of Directors awards scholarships based on financial need, demonstration of commitment to swimming, competitive focus, teamwork and active parental volunteerism with TSA. The deadline is June 5.

Stirling Swimming Scholarships: The University of Stirling’s is offering international sports scholarship program. The University provides each swim squad has its own professional coach. There is also a Stirling Integrated squad which supports elite disability swimmers and talented non-scholarship swimmers. Selected scholars will receive financial support up to £5000 per annum to subsidies competition entry, travel and training camps abroad and on-campus accommodation. The application deadline is February for a September start every year.

Walter Byers Postgraduate Scholarship ProgramUnder this program, one male and one female student-athlete are annually awarded a postgraduate scholarship in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and potential for success in postgraduate study. The Walter Byers postgraduate scholarship program is separate and distinct from the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Program, which provides numerous annual awards with smaller stipends. The stipend for each Byers scholarship is $24,000 for an academic year. In single year, scholarships $96,000 are awarded. Stipends are paid through the institution in which the Byers Scholar is enrolled for graduate study. Applications will be available online by September of each year.

Davis Law Group Scholar Athlete Program: DLG Scholar Athlete Program recognizes outstanding senior-class student athletes who perform both on the field and in the classroom. Every week of the school year, a student is chosen as the DLG Scholar Athlete of the Week and given a $100 scholarship. At the end of the school year management announce one male and one female are chosen as The Davis Law Group Scholar Athlete of the Year. The winners receive a $1,000 scholarship and a beautiful glass trophy commemorating their achievement. For a student to be recognized as the DGL Scholar Athlete of the Week, he or she must have at least a 3.0 GPA. The announcement related to next scholarship program will be done in summers every year.

Sports Village Swimming ScholarshipSwimming is an integral part of the Collegiate curriculum for students (Y1 to Y11). It is also a popular extra-curricular activity throughout the whole Collegiate, whether that is swimming for beginners, recreational swimming, or squad training. For 100% Scholarship, applicant must have gained selection for English Development Squad and be eligible for entry into Y10. For non-English applicants, the same qualifying times must be achieved at a national governing body ratified event. For 75% Scholarship, applicant must have gained selection for English Youth Squad with qualifying time in more than one event, and be eligible for entry into Y10. For non-English applicants, the same qualifying times must be achieved at a national governing body ratified event. 50% Scholarship is available for applicants who have gained selection for English Youth Squad and are eligible for entry into Y10. For non-English applicants, the same qualifying times must be achieved at a national governing body ratified event.

Culford Swimming Scholarships: Culford Swimming Scholarships are open to boys and girls of 10 to 18 years old. Culford Swimming Scholarships are worth up to 25% of tuition fees. The swimming program typically includes Squad sessions with Club Performance Coaches, under the direction of the Head Coach, Fitness program, Participation in a full competitive gala program, Goal setting and performance profiling, Sports psychology as part of the sports scholarship program.
