Eligibility:
Applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for the Bev Corless Memorial Scholarship:
-Female currently undertaking Year 12 in 2011 Completed ATAR in 2011
-Have selected Curtin University as a first preference through TISC to undertake an eligible undergraduate engineering degree
-Be undertaking the first semester of their first undergraduate degree at Curtin University in semester 1, 2012
-Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or the holder of an Australian Permanent Humanitarian or Permanent Resident visa
-Be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported place

Scholarship Open for International Students: Yes ( New Zealand)

Scholarship Description: The Bev Corless Memorial Scholarship is aimed specifically at women (currently undertaking Year 12) wishing to pursue a career in engineering in a discipline relevant to Alcoa. Indigenous women are encouraged to apply. The Scholarship has been implemented to recognise the contribution Bev Corless made to women in engineering through her work with Alcoa Australia and as a member of Engineers Australia and Engineering Technology Group. The Scholarship is aimed specifically at women wishing to pursue a career in engineering (with particular relevance to disciplines in operation at Alcoa) and to promote the integration of sustainability into engineering planning and design.
