The British Council is happy to offer the British Council Scholarship for Women in STEM at the City, University of London. The scholarships will be awarded for the academic year 2023-2024.

The scholarship is exclusively for female international students from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, or Montenegro. Five winners will be selected based on their financial need to be awarded a scholarship that covers full tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses for the duration of the program.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Students from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, or Montenegro are eligible to apply.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded for a postgraduate degree in MSc Energy, Environmental Technology and Economics, MSc Renewable Energy and Power Systems Management, MSc Civil Engineering Structures, MSc Construction Management, MSc Project Management, Finance and Risk, and MSc Maritime Operations and Management subject offered by the university.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Applicants must be a woman (cis-gendered or Trans) or identify as non-binary.
  • Applicants must be passport holders and permanent residents of one of the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia, or Montenegro.
  • They have applied and received an offer from the City to study one of the following postgraduate programs.
  • They have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable them to gain entry into a postgraduate program at a UK university partner by the start of their postgraduate program in the 2023-24 academic years.
  • They have not previously studied at a degree level or higher in the UK or lived recently in the UK.
  • Candidates must meet the English language requirement of the UK university partner.
  • They demonstrate a case for financial support.
  • They return to their country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after their scholarship award has ended.

  • How to Apply: Applicants must apply for admission to study at the City, University of London. After that, the applicant should complete the scholarship application form.
