Clements Worldwide, originally Clements & Company and later Clements International, is a global insurance company founded in 1947 and headquartered in Washington, D.C. with offices in London and Dubai.

Clements Worldwide provides international insurance to expatriates, international organisations, international schools, relief organisations,[2] contractors[3] and medical tourists

Course Level: Designed exclusively for students aged 13 to 21 experiencing life in foreign countries amidst unfamiliar cultures.

Study Subject: The contest is a testament to Clements’ ongoing commitment to the international expatriate community.

Scholarship Award: Clements Worldwide’s Expat Youth Scholarship gives expat youth an opportunity to share their experiences and compete for scholarships worth up to $3,000. Clements is awarding a total of $10,000 in scholarships to six students in the following categories:

Ages 13-16

  • First Place- $3,000
  • Second Place- $1,500
  • Third Place- $500

Ages 17-21

  • First Place- $3,000
  • Second Place- $1,500
  • Third Place- $500

Number of Scholarships: There are only six Scholarships available.

Scholarship can be taken in the USA

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

Students ages 13-21 of any nationality who have resided in a foreign country for at least six consecutive months. To qualify for the “Ages 13-16” category, you must be aged between 13-16 (born between 2001 and 2004). To qualify for the “Ages 17-21” category, you must be aged 17-21 (born between 1996 and 2000).

 Nationality: Applicants of any nationality can apply for the Scholarship.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must be aged between 13-16 (born between 2001 and 2004). To qualify for the “Ages 17-21” category, Applicants must be aged 17-21 (born between 1996 and 2000).

English language Requirements: Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English the candidate should have a very good command over the English language.

International Scholarship

How to Apply: Applications must be submitted by e-mail.

For this year’s Scholarship, we are asking expat students to take a photo visually capturing how you will use your experience living abroad to make a difference in the world, and write an accompanying short essay. To participate and have a chance at winning a scholarship, eligible contestants should complete the form to submit your entry. Once you enter, your photo will be reviewed.
