Communication Science Schools Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS) for non-EEA nationality.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Non- European Economic Area (EEA) nationality
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The grant will be given for a Master’s or Research Master’s program in communication science.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be suitable, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • Applicants have a non-EEA nationality. Unfortunately, if students have two nationalities and one of them is EU/EEA, then they will not be eligible for the AMS
  • Applicants have an overall GPA of at least 8 (scale 1-10)
  • Applicant’s GPAs belong to the top 10% of their class or year.

How to Apply

To be considered for the AMS, the Graduate School of Communication requires you to apply for our (Research) Master’s program before 1 January and to be admitted conditionally before applying for the AMS scholarship.

  • How to Apply: Applicants need to download the application form to apply for an AMS scholarship. Before starting an application for a scholarship, applicants must have applied to the (Research) Master’s program in September of the relevant year.
  • Supporting Documents: Motivation letter, proven affinity with academic research (course descriptions, transcripts, and individually-written research papers), extracurricular activities (CV), English proficiency test, and Description of extracurricular activities.
  • Admission Requirements: Applicants must meet all the entry requirements before applying for a master’s degree.
  • Language Requirement: Applicants must meet the English proficiency requirements, either waived or: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE), and Cambridge Certificate for Proficiency in English (CPE). English language test results may not be older than 2 years.
