Applications are invited for Ford Motor Company’s Conservation & Environmental Grants program to undertake ongoing and non-profit projects for the year 2019. Entries are accepted from ongoing and not-for-profit projects from the following countries only: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Yemen.

The program was created to empower individuals and non-profit groups donating their time and effort to preserve the environmental well-being of their communities.

Study Subject: The Ford Grants support ongoing and non-profit projects focused on Conservation Engineering, Protection of the Natural Environment and Environmental Education.

Scholarship Award: For 2019, a total of US$12,000 is available for deserving initiatives in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Yemen.

Scholarship can be taken in Projects that are currently being executed in the following countries can apply for grants: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Yemen.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

Eligibility Requirements and Rules

  • Employees, officers, directors, dealers and agents of Ford Motor Company and affiliated and subsidiary companies, representatives, legal advisers, any other advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies (“Program Team”) and the immediate family or members of the same households (whether related or not) of such employees are not eligible to apply or participate in the program.
  • Immediate family or relatives of members of the Ford Motor Company Conservation & Environmental Grants jury panel members are not eligible to apply or participate in the program.
  • Organizations that are affiliated to members of the Ford Motor Company Conservation & Environmental Grants jury panel members may apply, provided it is explicitly mentioned in the application form. In which case, during the judging process, the juror in question would be excluded from grading and discussing the entry in question.
  • Previous Ford Motor Company Conservation & Environmental Grants winners may reapply for funding provided they have submitted a completion report of their previously awarded project to their local juror as well as Ford Middle East. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification from entry.
  • This program accepts entries from all types of not?for?profit conservation initiatives that are currently being implemented or ongoing and need additional funding support. Projects that are still in the planning stages and proposals will not be considered.
  • Applicants can be: Individuals, Civil Society Organisations/NGOs, Schools, Colleges or Universities.
  • Projects that are currently being executed in the following countries can apply for grants: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Yemen.
  • No purchase is necessary to enter or be selected to participate.
  • This program is administered by Ford International Business Development, Inc. (“Administrator”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company.

International Scholarships

How to Apply: Application to the Ford Motor Company Conservation & Environmental Grants can only be made online through the www.me.ford.com website. Projects sent through different channels will not be accepted.

Applicants must complete and submit entry application with all the mandatory information (photos, videos, and personal information required). By submitting the application, the applicant grants Ford Motor Company and Administrator a nonexclusive worldwide, royalty?free license to use, copy, display publically, distribute, modify and alter any materials, including without limitation photo material, submitted in connection with the application / program (to the extent not assigned to Ford here under), with the right to sub license and assign the foregoing rights. Applicant hereby represents that they own all rights to materials, including without limitation photo / video material, submitted in connection with the application/ Program/competition.

Applicants must comply with the following application / photo / video requirements, even after submission. Applicant warrants and represents that:

  • Applicant is the sole owner and author;
  • Applicant has the right to make the photo available;
  • Each person depicted in the photo / video has granted permission to be portrayed as shown;
  • Photo / Video does not contain personally identifiable information about Applicant or any other person(s) with the exception of their name without their consent;
  • Photo / Video does not contain any infringing, threatening, false, misleading, abusive, harassing, libelous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, profane, or illegal content;
  • Photo / Video does not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any third person or entity, or violate any person’s rights of privacy or publicity, and photo does not include trademarks owned by third parties; copyrighted materials owned by third parties; names, likenesses, voices or other characteristics identifying celebrities or other public figures, living or dead.
