International PhD Scholarships at SDU Centre for Business History

If you are interested in the complex histories behind the wide variety of strongholds in the Danish business system, you can feed your curiosity by applying for the PhD Scholarships at the SDU Centre for Business History. The scholarships are offered at the University of Southern Denmark for the academic year 2023-2024. 

This scholarship will be awarded to PhD students enrolled at a programme taught at the Department of History at the University of Southern Denmark. Ideal candidates will be in possession of a master’s degree certificate in a relevant field of study and should be able to work with Danish cases and sources. Students who will be appointed on the PhD positions will receive full-time employment with a salary accordingly.

 Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Danish and students from outside Denmark are eligible to apply. 
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply for the PhD position in the Department of History.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must present a project description which identifies an overall topic and a concise research question and must also include preliminary descriptions of existing research, theory, method, and sources.  

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: Students are required to submit their applications for the position via the online application portal. Eligible applicants will be considered.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Certificate/Diplomas
  • Detailed project description, no more than five pages
  • Examination certificates
  • A maximum of 2 of the most relevant publications
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must hold a master’s degree in history (or similar). 
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests and must also have knowledge of the Danish language: 
  • TOEFL IBT – 88 
  • IELTS – 6.5 
  • CAE/CPE – 180
