­The University of Aberdeen is inviting applications for James Carnegie Scholarship for international students to study in the UK. This scholarship is open to applicants holding an offer of admission for any campus-based one year, full-time postgraduate degree program starting in September 2018.

The University of Aberdeen is a public research university in Aberdeen, Scotland. It is an ancient university founded in 1495 when William Elphinstone, Bishop of Aberdeen, petitioned Pope Alexander VI on behalf of James IV, King of Scots to establish King’s College, making it Scotland’s third-oldest university and the fifth-oldest in the English-speaking world.

Eligible Countries: This scholarship is available to students of all nationalities.

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • The James Carnegie Scholarship is open to applicants holding an offer of admission for any campus-based one year, full-time postgraduate degree program starting in September 2018 in one of the following Schools: School of Divinity, History & Philosophy; Education; Language, Literature, Music & Visual Culture; or Law.
  • Applicants must be classified by the University as Home/EU, RUK or Overseas for tuition fee purposes.

Benefit

The scholarship will provide £2,000 per annum towards the students’ maintenance costs for the duration of the postgraduate degree course, whether that is a one year Masters, Ph.D. (3 years) or Master by Research leading to a Ph.D. (4 years).
