10,491 Scholars Nominated For The King’s Scholarship

King Abdullah Scholarship Program
A total number of 10,491 scholars have been nominated for the prestigious King Abdullah foreign scholarship program.

Nasser Al-Fawzen, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for Scholarship Affairs, announced the result which includes both the gender who have qualified the acceptable conditions for the 10th class of custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Scholarship program.

The higher education ministry has approved institutions where the prospective scholars would pursue their career. There are five new universities in France, which specializes in fashion, information engineering and architecture.

The ministry has rejected five universities in the US and Jordan, but has confirmed a military college in Turkey and a government university in Germany.

The selected candidates consist of 627 PhD candidates, 1397 medical fellows, 6741 master’s degree candidates, and 1726 bachelor’s degree program in medical sciences. The domain which had the highest rate of acceptance for students was medical sciences with 37.40 percent.

Other domains such as engineering and computer sciences; finance and economics; basic sciences; digital media, tourism, hospitality, and clinical psychology; law have 22.20 percent, 17.07 percent, 12.36 percent, 5.51 percent, and 5.45 percent, respectively.

The King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship program is the most prestigious scholarship program extended by the government to cater the need of various ministries, national corporations and the private sector. The scholarship supports the students to obtain the degree from some of the world’s best universities.
