Application deadline: Application is accepted during the May-June period.
Eligibility
- You must have a bachelor degree for the master’s course or a master’s degree for the doctoral course.
- Candidates should have adequate health, both mentally and physically, to stay in a foreign country for a long period of time.
- Participants who have already enrolled in the same academic course in Korea same as the one they are applying for will not be admitted.
How to apply
In order to apply, candidates need to register for regular courses at the university after that can submit the required material by using the online application form.
For the admission in the given program, you should have a grade point average (G.P.A.) above 85% from the last institution attended.
Applicants need to submit required supporting documents one transcript from an undergraduate course and one transcript from a master’s course for those applying for a doctoral course, two recommendation letters, Two 4cm X 5cm color photos, and one certificate of health authorized by a doctor.
Candidates who have excellent Korean proficiency who have the certificate of TOPIK level 5 or 6, who majored in Korean Language and Literature or Korean Studies, and got the bachelor degree of it in or country of origin, who have the certificate of TOPIK level 4 and finished the four-year undergraduate course or the two-year graduate course in Korea, who have the certificate of TOPIK level 4 and have worked at a Korean governmental institution or a Korean company for more than two years.
Benefits
The program covers living allowance 500,000 won per month, settlement allowance 200,000 won upon arrival, medical insurance 20,000 won per month and round-trip airfare for the successful students.

I am Rev. Josephat Sahani Kaboya aged 39 years, an employee with National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) at Tabora Research Centre in Tanzania.
I have been working with this Research Institution since 1993 to date as a Senior Laboratory Technologist. In 2001, I completed a two year course of Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences (specialized in Parasitology and Medical Entomology) at the Muhimbili University of health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) by then was known as Muhimbili University College of health Sciences (MUCHS)
Last year i.e 2008, I was offered a place to pursue MSc -Research/PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Biology of Cancer) in the school of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Liverpool, UK.
I tried to look for scholarship/sponsorships but I didn’t get any assistance financially. This year (during this academic year 2009/2010) the Liverpool school authority has nominated me again to pursue the same course.
I therefore, ask you to assist me financially to meet the school required tuition fee (pounds 12,000), bench fee (pounds 3,000.
Bench fee in years 2-4 will be ponds 6,000 = pounds 18,000.
The course is of 4 years and this offer is a conditional one (i.e. it depends on the availability of funds) Also, the course commences on 21st September,2009
I hope that, my financial request will be considered as this course is very important not only to me but also to my institute (NIMR), country and the World at large.
