Eligibility

• Eligible Countries: Overseas candidates.
• Acceptable Course or Subjects: Undergraduate degree program in any field offered by the university.
• Admissible Criteria: Must be passionate about your studies and accept an offer to start your education journey at the university.
• A person who is in Australia and currently on:
  • Temporary Humanitarian Stay visa (Subclass 449)
  • Temporary Protection visa (Subclass 785)
  • Temporary Humanitarian Concern visa (Subclass 786)
  • Safe Haven Enterprise visa (Subclass 790)
  • Bridging visa A (Subclass 010) or Bridging visa E (Subclass 050 and 051) AND have applied for a Permanent Protection visa
• A commencing or continuing student enrolled or intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree as an international student at a Monash campus in Australia.
• Have achieved a minimum ATAR of 70.00, OR for current students a minimum weighted average mark (WAM) of 60, OR equivalent academic achievement.

How to Apply

• There are two types of award applications-
• Type 1- If you are applying for a course via VTAC portal then you must have to complete the VTAC Award application form
• Type 2- But if you are applying directly to Monash for your bachelor’s course, then you are required to complete the separate application form for the grant.

• If you’re applying for a course via VTAC, you will be automatically considered for this scholarship if you apply for the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) and meet the eligibility requirements.
• If you are a current Monash student or applying directly to Monash for your course, you will need to complete a separate application form to be considered. Applications for 2025 scholarships are not yet open. This website will be updated once applications are open, typically in early August each year.

• If you want to retain this award, then you must have to maintain a passing average (50% or above) each semester.
• The participants whose national language is not English are advised to take the TOEFL or IELTS test and demonstrate the English language ability.

Benefits

The educational bursary will cover the full overseas applicant course fees paid for the duration of the degree and an allowance of $6000 per year until the minimum points for your degree are completed.
