People Smart Scholarship Contest for High School Students in USA, 2014

Applications are invited for People Smart Scholarship Contest available for High School students. Students need to be currently be enrolled in a public or private high school (9-12th grade) and must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States. The contest winner will receive $2,500 and his or her essay may be published on the PeopleSmart website or blog. The winner of the PeopleSmart Creativity Award will receive $500 and may also have their work featured on the PeopleSmart website and blog. Application should be submitted till April 30, 2014.

Eligibility: Students need to be currently be enrolled in a public or private high school (9-12th grade). All participants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Current Inflection LLC employees or the immediate family of current Inflection LLC employees are not eligible for entry.

Scholarship Description: “PeopleSmart Scholarship – Peoplesmart is running an essay contest on the subject of privacy in the 21st century and what it means to the current generation of High School Seniors. The contest winner will receive $2,500 and his or her essay will be published on the PeopleSmart website and blog.

What does it cover? The contest winner will receive $2,500 and his or her essay may be published on the PeopleSmart website or blog. The winner of the PeopleSmart Creativity Award will receive $500 and may also have their work featured on the PeopleSmart website and blog.

Selection Criteria: Students participating in the People Smart Creativity Award can produce original videos, photos, info graphic, (or other forms of dynamic media) as a way to answer one of the essay questions. People Smart judges will choose 3 finalists to compete for this award. The winner will be determined using social media polling tools. The contestant with the most overall fan engagement will receive $500.

Notification: Winners will be announced by June 1st, 2014.

How to Apply: The mode of applying is online. The essay must be 500-750 words and written in English. The essay must include at least one piece of supporting evidence cited in MLA format. Plagiarism will not be tolerated and will lead to immediate disqualification.
