• Acceptable Course or Subjects: The Department of Genetics and Genomics, College of Medical and Health Sciences scholarship will be awarded for PhD and Master courses in the following PhD Research Areas:
• Elucidating the Molecular and Cellular Basis of Mendelian diseases in the UAE
• The Genetic Architecture of pediatric kidney diseases in the UAE (Molecular and Cellular)
• Identification of pathogenic genetic variants associated with juvenile idiopathic arthritis
• Investigating the functional role of genetic associated with Neuropsychiatric diseases
• Pathogenicity Prediction of Variants Using AI and Machine Learning
• Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the given criteria:
• Candidates must have Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees.
• Students with at least one of the degrees (Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree) must be in Biological Science, Biomedical Science, Medical, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Informatics, Health Informatics, or other related fields.
• They have an interest in genetic laboratory processing and Data analysis.
• Students must have good character and attitude.
• Students score at least 6.5 on the IELTS or an equivalent TOEFL score.
• A team player and have strong communication skills.
• Students have Critical and analytical scientific skills.
• They have Good oral and written proficiency in English.

• How to Apply: There is no separate application system. Students who want this scholarship must apply for admission to a PhD and Master’s degree program via the university’s online application system.
• Supporting Documents: Applicants are required to submit the following documents at the time of admission:
• Identity documents as required for Emirati students (copies of passport and Khulasat Al-Qaid) and international students (copy of passport)
• One certified copy of the official diploma and transcript from each university attended
• Official copy of the applicant s score on the IELTS exam or equivalent
• Two letters of recommendation from professionals familiar with the student s academic work
• Copy of the applicant’s CV
• Statement of the applicant’s research experience and interest written in the same language as the program’s official language of instruction.
