The PhD applicants will be invited to apply for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship. This award includes a fellowship of HK$240,000 (~€27,800) per year for 4 years, a conference travel allowance of HK$10,000 (~€1,150) per year for 4 years, and a research excellence award of HK$40,000 (~€4,600) in the rest year of study.

University is seeking motivated and enthusiastic students to join Prof. Ciucci’s group at HKUST. The group focuses on advanced energy conversion and storage devices, including fuel cells and batteries. We propose both experimental and modelling projects. Areas of interest include materials synthesis and characterization, device fabrication, atomistic and continuum-level simulations.
The ideal candidate should:
• Have an excellent academic track record;
• Have a degree in engineering, materials science, physics, or chemistry;
• Be interested in experimental or computational research; • speak English fluently (TOEFL or IELTS are required).
