Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: Open to applicants from all countries
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM).
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Hold a Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field, defended in the last 3 years or close to completion.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with high-throughput sequencing data.
  • Experience with TF-DNA interaction models and genomic interpretation tools.
  • Knowledge of transcriptional regulation.
  • Experience in the integration and analysis of multi-omics datasets.
  • Documented experience in developing open-source and self-contained computational software.
  • Track record of developing reproducible computational pipelines, preferably with workflow management systems like Snakemake.
  • Ability to containerize applications using Docker or Singularity for better software management and reproducibility.
  • At least one first author publication in an international peer-reviewed journal within the last 2 years.
  • Ability to collaborate with researchers from different fields and at different career stages.
  • Willingness to be part of a team to share knowledge and skills.
  • Documented ability to communicate science effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Prior experience with JASPAR or UniBind databases is an advantage.
