Wipro Consumer Care and Wipro Cares are pleased to bring students an opportunity to pursue higher education and realize their dream by participating in the Santoor Women’s Scholarships programme for the academic year 2022-2023.

The scholarship program has exclusively been organized for young women students, specifically from the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, or Telangana, that want to undertake a graduate degree study at an Indian institute or university. The winning applicants will be awarded an annual scholarship of Rs. 24,000 for the duration of their study.

Launched in 2016-17, the Santoor Scholarship program is an initiative of Wipro Consumer Care and Wipro Cares, which intends to financially support girls from disadvantaged backgrounds who wish to pursue higher education after grade 12.

The Santoor Scholarship program supports 1800 students annually across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh. Along with students inclined toward professional courses, it also encourages and supports students showing a keen interest in pursuing their higher education in humanities, liberal arts, and sciences.

Eligibility

• Eligible Countries: Indian national students are eligible to apply.
• Eligible Course or Subjects: Applicants can apply for a graduate degree programme in humanities, liberal arts, and sciences.
• Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
• The applicants must have passed class 10 from a local government school.
• The applicants must have passed class 12 from a government school/junior college in the academic year 2021-22.
• The applicants must have enrolled in a full-time graduate program from 2022 to 23.
• The applicants must be young women from underprivileged backgrounds in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, or Telangana.

How to Apply

• How to Apply: Admission applications to an Indian university or college must be made via its respective application portal. The applications for this scholarship must be made via the ‘Apply Online’ button.
• Supporting Documents: The students are required to provide the following supporting documents:
• One recent passport-size photograph
• Photocopy of applicant’s passbook (other than Gramin Bank)
• Photocopy of Aadhaar Card
• Photocopy of class 10 certificate
• Photocopy of class 12 certificate
• Admission Requirements: The applicants must meet the entry and academic criteria of the university or college they wish to enter.
• Language Requirement: The students must meet the language requirements of the university. English and Hindi may be used to teach interchangeably.

Benefits

The applicants selected will be provided a scholarship worth Rs. 24,000 per annum till they complete their course of study towards tuition fees or other expenses incidental to education.
