Sadako Ogata Masters Scholarship
University of London is offering masters scholarship for lower and middle income countries students to start their studies in March, 2017. Up to two prestigious scholarships are available to pursue MA in Refugee Protection and Forced Migration Studies. Scholarship covers the ‘whole fee’ for the programme, comprising two Core Module fees, four Elective Module fees, and the two Dissertation modules fees. The application deadline is 16 January 2017.

Chancellor’s International Scholarships
University of Sussex is inviting applications for Chancellor’s International Scholarship for postgraduate taught programme. Total 25 scholarships are available for international student. Scholarship covers 50% off international student tuition fee. The scholarships are offered for one year. Students who hold other University of Sussex scholarships will not be eligible for the Chancellors International Scholarship. The application deadline is 1st May 2017.

Wellcome Trust Intermediate Fellowships for Kiribati Students
Wellcome Trust is offering research fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. The fellowships are awarded for up to five years and provide a basic salary. It covers research expenses and training costs. Applicants must have a relevant high-quality publication record and show potential to become a future scientific leader. Fellowships will be offered for up to five years (non-renewable). Preliminary application deadline: 28 November 2016 and Full application deadline: 13 February 2017.

2016 FIG Foundation PhD Scholarships
FIG Foundation is offering PhD scholarships for applicants from low-income, lower-middle or upper-middle income economy. The FIG Foundation will be providing scholarships of up to 4,000 euros to PhD students. Applicant must be studying for a PhD degree and registered solely in a surveying/geomatics academic programme that teaches surveying are eligible to apply. The application deadline is 1 March 2016.

IHRP Emerging Scholar Program at Mahidol University
The Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP) of Mahidol University invites applications for emerging scholar program for undertaking Master of Arts in Human Rights (International Program). The scholarship is intended for students from developing countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The scholar will be expected to fulfill all course and thesis requirements within 18 months from commencement of the program. The scholarship allows for reduced tuition and thesis fees (4,200 Baht per credit to 1,200 Baht per credit each term and a 50 % of the cost of the thesis fee). There is no living allowance. The application deadline is March 31, 2016.

Franklin Mosher Baldwin Memorial Fellowships
The Leakey Foundation is inviting applications for Franklin Mosher Baldwin Memorial Fellowships. These fellowships are intended for scholars and students of a developing country who wish to obtain an advanced degree from an institution outside the student’s home country. It is limited to two years of support. The maximum award is limited to $15,000 per year. The application deadline is February 15 2016.

Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship
This early career development fellowship program provides early career development and continuing education for library and information science professionals from countries with developing economies. Up to five individuals are selected each year for participation in this intensive four-week Fellowship Program based at OCLC’s headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, USA. Fellows visit selected libraries and cultural heritage institutions, meet with leading information professionals and observe OCLC’s governance structure in action. The application deadline is February 12, 2016.

Wellcome Trust International Engagement Awards for Kiribati Students
Wellcome Trust is offering awards for research applicants from a low- or middle-income country within Sub-Saharan Africa, South-east Asia or South Asia. The audience for the project, and the engagement activity, must be in a low- or middle-income country within Sub-Saharan Africa, South-east Asia or South Asia that is also eligible for Investigator Awards within the broader remit of the Trust (but also including India). The deadlines for sending expressions of interest for each funding round are: 19 February 2016 and 19 August 2016.

Dorothy Marchus Senesh Fellowship
International Peace Research Association Foundation is awarding up to two Senesh fellowship for women from developing countries. Fellowships are available for applicants who have completed a Bachelor’s degree, who have been accepted into a graduate program and whose graduate work is to be focused on issues related to the goals of IPRA. The Fellowships provide $5,000 per year for two years for both women, for a total of $10,000 each. Applications are due by January 15, 2016.

EDCTP-TDR Clinical Research and Development
EDCTP and WHO/TDR are jointly implementing clinical fellowships to support researchers and key members of clinical trial research teams from Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs). WHO/TDR will fund fellows employed by a research institution (home organisation) in any LMICs for placements in pharmaceutical companies and PDPs (host organisations) either in or outside Europe. The application deadlines are 28 January 2016 (Stage 1) and 21 July 2016 (Stage 2: Training plan – EDCTP only).

IFS Individual Research Grants
Applications are invited from early-career scientists in IFS eligible developing countries to apply for IFS Individual Research Grants.  These grants are open to carry out research projects for a period of up to 3 years. An applicant must have at least an MSc/MA and must do the research project in an IFS eligible country. Grants are awarded on merit basis which amounts up to USD 12,000. The deadline for submission of research grant applications is 31st December 2015.

TWAS-USM Fellowships for Visiting Researchers in Malaysia
TWAS-Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is inviting applications for fellowships for visiting researchers. Fellowships are open for scientists from developing countries (other than Malaysia) who wish to pursue advanced research in natural sciences. Fellowships are tenable for a minimum period of one month to a maximum of three months at a school/department of the Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). USM will provide a standard monthly allowance which should be used to cover living costs, such as accommodation and food. The application deadline is 15 September.

Jefferson Fellowships for Journalists in USA and Asia Pacific Region, 2015
Applications are invited for Jefferson fellowships available to working print, broadcast and online journalists from the United States, Asia and the Pacific Islands. The funds provide for 10-13 full or partial fellowships, including approximately 4-5 for qualified American journalists and 7-8 for Asia Pacific journalists. Fellowships are awarded for an intensive one-week education and dialogue seminar at the East-West Center in Honolulu followed by two weeks of study tour travel in the Asia Pacific-U.S. region. The application deadline is January 27.

Wellcome Trust Masters Fellowships for Kiribati Students
Wellcome Trust is offering masters fellowships for junior researchers to gain research experience and high-quality research training at Master’s degree level. Fellows must be based in a low- or middle-income country for their research project. A Fellowship normally provides up to 30 months’ support. The application deadline is 7 December.

TÜBITAK Graduate Scholarship for Kiribati Students
Scholarship for Kiribati students is available for pursuing graduate degree (master and doctoral). Applicants must be 30 years old or younger for the MSc/MA programs and 35 years old or younger for the PhD programs on the first day of the application period. Maximum duration for the scholarship is 2 years for the Masters and 4 years for the PhD program.

TWAS-DBT Postgraduate Fellowships for Kiribati Students
Applications are invited for TWAS-DBT Postgraduate Fellowship Programme available for foreign scholars from developing country other than India to pursue research towards a PhD. In addition, the fellowship holder will receive a house rent allowance. TWAS-DBT Postgraduate Fellowships are tenable at key biotechnology research institutions in India for a period of up to five years.

Professor Arthur Li Development Scholarships for Kiribati Students
