The Émile Boutmy scholarships are open to welcome the best international students from outside the European Union. The most deserving international students will receive a tuition grant of €3,600 to €13,190 per year to study at Sciences Po.

The Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) was founded on 10 July 1872. Sciences Po has seven campuses in France, with each specializing in different regions of the globe. Its academic bodies consist of a bachelor’s college, six professional schools, and a doctoral school.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities (non-European Union state), including France.
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded to the undergraduate degree program in France
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be first-time applicants.
  • Students must be first-time applicants from a non-European Union state, whose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Undergraduate program.

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: Applicants can submit an application as the following:
  • Applicants from foreign secondary schools: Applicants from foreign secondary schools must indicate that they are applying to the Émile Boutmy scholarship in the “Financial information” section of their Sciences Po application.
  • Applicants from French secondary schools: Applicants from French secondary schools must contact the Admission Office by completing this form once their application has been validated on Parcoursup.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit all the required documents. All official documents in foreign languages must be translated into French by a certified translator. Check the full required supporting documents.
  • For an application at the undergraduate level, applicants must provide proof of income and documents explaining their family situation (e.g. income tax return for both parents, payslips, divorce certificate, unemployment benefits, documents related to alimony, child support or retirement pensions, death certificate…).
  • Admission Requirements: The international admissions procedure is open to applicants who have obtained or will obtain (this academic year) a Non-French undergraduate degree (or 180 ECTS credits/bachelor’s degree or equivalent) from an institution in France or abroad.   • Language Requirement: French and English are the two working languages of the College. English is both a taught and a working language, common to all students. Check the English language criteria here.

  • The Admissions Department is responsible for awarding Émile Boutmy scholarships. A tuition grant of €3,600 to €13,190 per year for the three years of the undergraduate program.
  • During the year abroad (third year of the undergraduate program): scholarship recipients will retain their tuition fee grant and additional cost of living grant (if applicable).
  • The scholarship is automatically renewed if the student chooses to continue their graduate studies at Sciences Po.
