Eligibility

  • Eligible Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in all the following courses offered by the university:
  • MA Social and Cultural History
  • MA Modern History
  • MA Race and Resistance
  • MA War and Strategy
  • MA Medieval Studies
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:
  • Candidate must be classified as an International student for fee purposes
  • Candidates should have applied for 2023/2024 entry for a master’s programme included in the eligible courses section
  • Candidate must be a self-funding student who is not in receipt of any other form of sponsorship or funding
  • Candidate must demonstrate an excellent academic track record and be predicted to achieve a bachelor’s degree with a 2:1 (Hons) or equivalent.
  • Show excellent professional and personal skills evidenced through work experience and/or extracurricular activities.
  • Candidate must demonstrate the potential to contribute to the social and cultural diversity of master’s programmes and student community.

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: To apply, the applicants must complete the online form to take admission at the University Of Leeds School Of History. Students will require their University of Leeds Application ID to proceed.
  • Supporting Documents: Required documents include: a degree certificate and academic transcripts. Also include a grading scale if this is unclear from transcripts, English language proficiency evidence, and scanned copies of any UK visas/permits/CASs currently or previously held. Also, students may be required to nominate two referees who know their academic and/or professional ability.
  • Depending on the course, students may be asked to provide additional documents, such as a personal statement, a CV, a portfolio, and translation tests.
