For Undergraduate Students:

  • Citizens of India, who normally live in India and are not already studying in Australia. Those studying English in Australia are still eligible to apply.
  • Students should not put together another scholarship.
  • Students who have got an unconditional offer for Bachelor of Economics and who are introducing students in the vacuum.
  • The studentships are provided on the basis of academic excellence and the students receiving higher are encouraged to apply.

For Postgraduate Students:

  • Citizens of India, who normally live in India and are not already studying in Australia. Those studying English in Australia are still eligible to apply.
  • Students should not put together another scholarship.
  • Students who got an unconditional offer for a relevant postgraduate course program.
  • The studentships are provided on the basis of academic excellence and the students receiving higher are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply

To apply, students must first complete an application for a place at UQ: https://apply.uq.edu.au

Supporting Documents:

Once you have an existing application with UQ you will be provided with a UQ student number and then you can apply for a Scholarship by completing the following:

  • UQ Economics funding form – this must be returned directly to the School of Economics at [email protected] along with the documents listed below:
  • Academic transcripts
  • Motivation letter – outlining your interest in economics
  • Two reference letters

Admission Requirements: Not Given

Program Benefits:

  • Undergraduate level, students are who cover up to 50% of tuition fees to enter the Bachelor of Economics. In the program, expenses for the period of the program, travel expenses or foreign health cover are not included.
  • Postgraduate level, students covering up to 50% of the tuition fees only for students seeking entry into one of the following masters by coursework programs:
  • These opportunities are awarded on a competitive basis. The previous study of economics is not required. Work experience is also not required.
