University of Toronto is pleased to offer range of fellowships to students of high academic ability for 2016 entry. Present Weston Brain Institute international fellowships are open for Canadian citizens to undertake doctoral degree programme.

The goal is to build international collaborations, foster influential neuroscience research and bring enhanced research capabilities back to Canada.

The University of Toronto is a public research university in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, situated on the grounds that surround Queen’s Park.

Applicants must be willing to conduct translational research on aspects of neurodegenerative disease(s) of aging while studying. Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Course Level: Scholarship is available to undertake doctoral degree programme.

Study Subject: Scholarship is tenable in Neuroscience.

Scholarship Award: The Fellowship will provide an award of $60,000 for each selected student (prorated as needed) for up to 3 Canadian graduate students from the University of Toronto conducting translational research in neurodegenerative diseases of aging.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible, applicants must:
-Be willing to conduct translational research on aspects of neurodegenerative disease(s) of aging while studying abroad in a world class laboratory for up to one year beginning in the 2016–2017 school year.
-Be registered as a full?time PhD student at U of T.
-Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident in Canada.

Nationality: Students of Canada can apply for these scholarships.

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must be registered as a full?time PhD student at U of T and willing to conduct translational research on aspects of neurodegenerative disease(s) of aging while studying.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

-Completed and signed application form o Includes a description of the research project to be conducted abroad and why applicant should be selected for this fellowship
-CV
-Transcripts from all attended universities (certified photocopies permitted)
-Letter of support from current supervisor
-Letter of support from receiving/hosting institution
