Humboldt University of Berlin

More than 10% of students studying in this university consist of international students. In the year 2012-13, the university ranked 99th.The university is known for its hardcore research with offering opportunities to work with world renowned faculty in fields such as the history of science, quantitative economics.  The university offers Bachelor’s degree which includes combined bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree and other degrees.  Students can also go for academics like humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, mathematics, the natural sciences, medicine and agricultural sciences.

Freie Universität Berlin (Free Universities of Berlin)

Established in 1948 shortly after WWII, it is one of the largest universities in Germany. Due to its excellent track record and growth in student enrolment, it has gained the title of “University of Excellence”. It is a full university with 15 departments and central institutes offering over 150 degree programs across a wide range of subjects. Technische University

BAU International Berlin (University of Applied Science

Beuth University of Applied Science

This is the 2nd largest university of applied sciences in Berlin and offers wide range of courses in applied engineering, applied sciences and applied economics in the whole of Berlin and Brandenburg. It is the only public institution in Germany offering students to learn theatre engineering and event technology and management.

SRH University of Berlin

It is a state approved private university offering Bachelor Arts Programme and Master of Arts Programme. According to the CHE ranking, the university stands in 4th position out of 5. According to DAAD, the university comes under top 10 out of 400 universities. Steinbeis University

This private German university offers certificate courses on degree programs through to graduation. Although the university deals with economic courses, students can also achieve Bachelor of Engineering. The university is entirely owned by Steinbeis Foundation. Programs offered are- Doctoral Programs, MA, MBA, M.Sc, BBA, B.Sc and B.Eng. The university also has Institute Corporate Responsibility Management (ICRM) offering 15 month executive degree Master of Arts in Responsible Management, a Double Degree Program and various certificates.

European School of Management and Technology

This is an international non-profit business school in Berlin. Founded by 25 global companies and institutes, the university offers Master’s in Management, a Full-time MBA, an Executive MBA, as well as executive education in the form of open enrolment and customized programs. ESMT is accredited by Association of MBA, AACSB, Foundation for International Business Administration. In the year 2014, ESMT was position in 89th place by FT MBA.

HTW Berlin University of Applied Science

HTW Berlin is the largest university for applied sciences in eastern Germany. It has about 12,000 students studying in the areas of engineering, computer science, business and graphic arts. There are a number of specialized programs in fashion design, restoration engineering, communication design or Media and computing that are in high demand with students and are very selective in admissions. The school has its own fashion label, 30paarhaende and it awards a prize for business communication (DPWK) once a year. Both projects are entirely run by the students.

Weissensee School of Art, Berlin

The BBW University of Applied Sciences offers both Bachelor and Master programs. The school has grown quickly since then and has now established itself as the second-largest private institution of higher education in the region with currently over 900 students.

Hertie School of Governance Berlin

The Hertie School of Governance is a German private university with the right to confer doctorates in Berlin’s Friedrichstraße. Half of the students in the Hertie School come from abroad, and the working language is English. The school offers to its students the opportunity to complete a professional year at a multinational corporation, government ministry or an international organization. Protestant University of Applied Sciences is located in Berlin, Germany. It is locally known as Evangelische Fachhochschule Berlin. The university was established in 1971. It is accredited by Senatsverwaltung für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Forschung, Berlin. International Psychoanalytic University Berlin

International Psychoanalytic University Berlin (IPU) is a private non-profit university in Berlin, Germany. Its primary task is to provide information for its students, academic staff and professors as well as to support them in their studies and teachings.

DAAD, the German Academic Exchange Service, offers many scholarships for international students to study in Germany at various degree levels. Every year 20 scholarships are awarded to international students for a stay in Berlin of usually one year.

Global Challenges Fellowship Program

The Volkswagen Foundation is supporting Global Challenges Fellowship to conduct research for journal articles and/or policy papers and participate in a series of small working group discussions and seminars. Applicants must hold an academic degree (master’s, PhD or equivalent) in the social sciences, humanities and/or law.

GEAS General Training Programme and PhD Fellowships

Graduate School of East Asian Study is offering up to twelve PhD fellowships to analyze the institutional environment of social, political, cultural and economic actors in the East Asian region. Fellowships will initially be granted for one year, and contingent upon a positive evaluation after each year of study, fellowships will be extended for another year.

Humboldt Research Fellowships for Postdoctoral Researcher

This fellowship is for scientists and scholars of all nationalities. The Humboldt Foundation grants approximately 500 Humboldt Research Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers.

Global Challenges Fellowship

Applications are invited for Global Challenges Fellowship Program (GCFP) for a maximum of eight months for the 2016–17 academic year. Fellows will spend about 75% of their time at SPP and CEU IAS in Budapest and 25% at GPPi in Berlin.
