The University of Copenhagen is looking to recruit excellent students to apply for the International PhD Fellowships in Microbial Genomics, Metagenomics, and Bioinformatics for the academic session 2022/2023.

The fellowship aims to support high-achieving international students who are going to enroll in the PhD degree program at the department of biology in Denmark.

• Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
• A three-year full-time study within the framework of the regular PhD programme (5+3 scheme), if you already have an education equivalent to a relevant Danish master’s degree.
• Background in molecular microbiology, bacterial genetics, and evolution.
• Documented experience working with computational biology and bioinformatics.
• Considerable expertise in comparative genomics and genetic context-driven research applied to microbiology.
• Ability to work with command-line tools. Coding skills using standard languages such as Python, R, and bash.
• They are excited to be part of a team and comfortable working independently.

• Admission Requirements: To be eligible, applicants must have BSc in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related Biological Sciences field and MSc in Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or a related Biological Sciences field.
• Language Requirement: If English is not your first language, you should provide evidence of English language ability: IELTS, TOEFL, or other acceptable proof.
