  • Eligibility Criteria: If you wish to be selected for this opportunity, then make sure you fulfill all the following requirements:
  • Applicants to research degree programmes should normally have at least a first-class or an upper second class British Bachelor’s Honours degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline. For PhD study, candidates should normally hold, or be expected to hold, a Master’s degree.

How to Apply

  • How to Apply: There is no need to make a separate application for this scholarship. All the interested applicants are advised to book their place in an approved study programme at the university to get this scholarship.
  • Supporting Documents: Applicants might be required to send the following documents together with their application for admission: Pre-qualification degree, copies of academic transcripts, certificates of English language proficiency, a statement, and a copy of passport.
  • Admission Requirements: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with a 2:1 (honours) with a background in economics.
  • Language Requirement: The minimum English language entry requirement for research postgraduate research study is an IELTS of 6.5 overall with at least 6.0 in each component (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) or equivalent (please contact the Graduate School Office for information about alternative English language qualifications accepted by the School). The test must be dated within two years of the start date of the course in order to be valid. A degree from a country in which English is the primary language can be considered valid evidence of English language qualifications provided that it is no more than two years old at the time of the proposed start date.
