Jacob Blaustein Center for Scientific Cooperation (BCSC) is offering postdoctoral fellowships for 2016-2017 academic year. The fellowship is available at Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research (BIDR) which is open to scientists from all over the world. CERN Post Career Break Graduate Fellowship In Switzerland, 2016
CERN invites applications for post career break graduate fellowship from students wishing to re-start their careers. Fellowships are awarded both for research work (experimental or theoretical physics) and advanced development work and related research in a broad range of applied science, computing and engineering fields. Fellowship is aimed at candidates with either a Junior or a Senior Fellow profile depending on the qualifications and experience of the individual. One feature of the COFUND programme is the possibility to spend up to 12 months of the Fellow contract at another institute, provided that the work still corresponds to your original project at CERN. Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for Azerbaijani Students, 2016-2017
Applications are invited for Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program from Azerbaijani Students for 2016-2017 academic year. It provides grants to conduct postdoctoral research at U.S. institutions from an academic semester (4 months) to a full academic year (9 months). Researchers, university lecturers and experts from academic institutions, government and non-government structures who wish to conduct post-doctoral research, lecture, or pursue combined lecturing and research in the United States are eligible to participate in this program.
MCCC S-STEM Scholarship Program (SAMS) in USA, 2016
Applications are invited for STEM Scholarship to financially needy students. Scholarship is available for full-time students acquiring their associate’s degrees and/or facilitating their transfer to four-year institutions for continued STEM studies. Under-represented groups, women, and veterans interested in pursuing a degree in STEM are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants will receive a scholarship award of $4,350 each year, for up to two years.
UCLAN Part-time PhD Studentships for UK/EU and International Applicants in UK, 2016
UCLAN University of Central Lancashire is inviting applications for Part-time PhD studentships for UK/EU and international applicants. CAS-TWAS President’s PhD Fellowship Programme
Applications are invited for CAS-TWAS fellowship programme to pursue PhD studies at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) or Institutes of CAS around China. Up to 200 scholarships to students/scholars from all over the world, including 60 from developed countries are awarded. The funding duration of the fellowship is 4 years.
TWAS Prizes for Developing Countries’ Scientists
The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) is awarding eight prizes of USD 15,000 each to individual scientists who have been working and living in a developing country for at least ten years. Each prize is accompanied by a medal. Nominations of women scientists are particularly encouraged. Selection of the awardees is made on scientific merit and on the recommendations of the selection committees composed of TWAS members.
2015 PSI Masters Scholarship
Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics is offering fully funded masters scholarship for international students. Scholarship is available for pursuing one-year Masters level course at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. Admission is highly competitive – all students who are admitted receive full scholarships (Accommodation, Meals, Living stipend, Full tuition, Health insurance, Books and materials, Laptop and Travel supplement). To be eligible for the scholarship minimum TOEFL score required is 90 overall, with a minimum of 25 in writing and speaking.
Erasmus Mundus Master MaMaSELF Scholarship
Applications are invited for Erasmus Mundus Master Scholarship available for both Non-European and European students. The Mamaself programme is a 2 year Master programme in Materials Science at University Rennes, France, University of Torino, Italy, Technical University (TUM), Germany and the Ludwig Maximilian University München, Germany and the University of Montpellier. The value of grant is 22.000 euros per year (for Non-European students) and 9.000€ per year (for European students). European students can receive 3000€ complementary grant in case of internship at a Non-EU partner institution.
Doctoral Career Development Scholarships
The Aberystwyth University offers approximately new 12 DCDS awards and 3 additional President’s scholarships for the September 2014 intake. Physics scholarships are provided for doctoral level. Applicants have or expect to obtain at least upper second class honours in their first degree and achievement of 7.0 in IELTS, or equivalent, as the normal case, for non-UK students.
Excellence Master Fellowships
This Physics fellowship is offered for pursuing Master’s Degree level in Physics at University of Geneva in Switzerland. International students must have good academic performance in the bachelor’s program. Selection of the fellowship is on the basis of academic excellence and documentation sent by the applicants. An English proficiency test is required.
Lindemann Trust Fellowships
Physics Fellowships are available for pursuing postdoctoral program in USA. Candidates must be British or Commonwealth citizens, resident in the UK and have completed a doctorate since September 2012. Fellowships may not be held concurrently with any other research grant or scholarship. The application deadline is 16 February, 2015.
ICTP-IAEA Sandwich Training Educational Programme (STEP) Fellowships
Fellowships are awarded to PhD students in the fields of physics and mathematics. The fellowships are awarded for a period of at least three months to be spent by the fellows at host institutes during the first year and it may be renewed for up to two additional successive years. The STEP fellowship includes a stipend of EU 1,400 per month during each stay at the host institute. Deadline to submit application is 15 February each year.
SUPA PhD Prize Studentship Competition
Applications are invited for SUPA Prize PhD Studentships available for physics students from around the world to PhD study in Scotland. All physics PhDs in Scotland are considered SUPA Graduate School students. Students are registered for a PhD in physics at one of the participating universities: Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Heriot-Watt, St. Andrews, Strathclyde and University of the West of Scotland. The studentships provide support for tuition fees, a stipend and a travel grant for a three-and-a-half-year period. The application deadline is 31st January 2016.
Cardiff University Scholarships
Cardiff University is funding around 100 prestigious scholarships for undergraduate students. Each scholarship is worth £3,000. These are cash payments and are not means tested. The Physics scholarships will be awarded to UK students coming to Cardiff University in September 2014. Candidates must satisfy all aspects of the offer.
IST Fellowship Programme
Fellowships are available for pursuing postdoctoral program in Physics at IST Austria. This will fund 40 fellows for a period of two years each. All ISTFELLOW recipients will be offered full-time employment contracts at IST Austria and will receive an internationally competitive salary with full social security coverage.
DOE NNSA SSGF Stewardship Science Graduate Fellowship
This fellowship is awarded for graduate students who enter a period of study and research accompanied by practical work experience at DOE NNSA research facilities. Physics Fellowship support is limited to four years and must be renewed each year. Individuals interested in applying for the incoming class of fellows must submit all related materials on January 15.
Yousef Jameel Doctoral Scholarships
Humboldt-University is offering five Physics scholarships with support of the Yousef Jameel Scholarship Fund. The scholarships are awarded for a period of three years and commence on October 1. To be eligible for this Physics scholarship, English and German skills are required. Women and disabled students are encouraged to apply. Applications should be submitted till 15th July.
University of Sussex Geoff Lockwood Postgraduate Scholarship
Physics scholarship is available for pursuing postgraduate (master) degree level at University of Sussex in UK. The main criteria for the award are proven academic excellence and personal motivation. The selectors will also take into account evidence of financial hardship. One scholarship is offered. The scholarship includes a bursary of £1,000 per year towards tuition fees. The application deadline is July 18.
Sloan Research Fellowships
Two-year Physics fellowships are awarded for early-career scientists and scholars for pursuing research program. To be eligible for these fellowships, candidates must hold a tenure track (or equivalent) position at a college, university or other degree-granting institution in the USA or Canada. The Foundation strongly encourages the nomination of qualified women and minority candidates. Application will close on September 16.
