To assist students with living costs and tuition fees, the University of Queensland has partnered with the Australian Government to provide PhD students with the Earmarked Scholarships for the academic year 2023-2024.

The Australian Government funds this scholarship scheme for all postgraduate research (HDR) students, international or domestic, at UQ. The funds will cover living and tuition fees costs. The stipend is valued at $28,854, along with the tuition fee of the applied program and health cover.

  • ‘I am applying for or have been awarded a scholarship or sponsorship.’

Benefits

The successfully selected candidates will be given a living stipend of $28,854 per annum tax-free (indexed annually), tuition fees covered, and Single Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for up to 3.5 years with the possibility of 1 extension.
