GDAI PhD funding for Kenyan Students
Scholarship Provider: The Mo Ibrahim Foundation Governance for Development in Africa Initiative

Eligible Students: Applicants must be domiciled (or permanent residents) in an African country.
Courses: award is available for undertaking PhD research programme.
Award Details: The grant is on a part-present form and it provides for fees for three years. However, accommodation and living cost are covered for the first year only.

Desmond Tutu Masters funding for Kenyan Students 
Scholarship Provider: University of Edinburgh, UK
Eligible Students: The sponsorship will be awarded to a student from Africa who is accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Master’s programme of study within the School of Divinity.
Course: The studentships are available for pursuing master’s degree level at University of Edinburgh.
Award Details: The sponsorship will cover the full overseas tuition fee and a maintenance allowance of £5,000.

2017 LSHTM Jeroen Ensink Memorial Fund MSc Scholarship in Public Health, UK
Scholarship Provider: The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine

IJP Southern African Journalists’ Bursary Programme
Scholarship Provider: International Journalists’ Programmes (IJP)
Eligible Students: All journalists from Southern Africa (SADC Member States and Kenia) between the age of 25 and 40 who regularly work for a media organisation can apply.
Courses: Fellowships are intended to support African and German Journalists.
Award Details: The Southern African delegates receive a fixed payment of 3,000 Euro.

Global Leaders Fellowship for Kenyan Students
Scholarship Provider: George Washington University, USA
Eligible Students: Students holding an F-1 visa (J-1 visa is eligible for Fulbright applicants only) and who are from the following countries or regions (chosen based on protocol arrangements and areas of the world underrepresented at GW) are eligible to apply: China (PRC), Cambodia, Eastern Europe, Laos, Latin America, The Caribbean, Mongolia, Sub-Saharan Africa, U.S.S.R. Successor States and Vietnam.
Courses: Fellowships are available for pursuing graduate (master’s and doctoral) degree level.

Intermediate Fellowships for Kenyan Students

Eligible Students: Applicants who do not have a PhD but who are educated to first degree or Master’s level and have extensive research experience, as evidenced by their publication record, may be considered.
Course: Fellowships are available for an independent research programme.
Award Details: Fellowships provide support that includes a basic salary for the fellow -research expenses (e.g. consumables, equipment, collaborative travel, research assistance, technical support, fieldwork and data collection).

 Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship and Leadership Programme
Scholarship Provider: Louis Dreyfus Foundation and University of Oxford, UK
Eligible Students: You should be intending to return to your country of ordinary residence once your course is completed.
Course: The studentships are available for pursuing full time graduate degree at University of Oxford.
Award Details: The sponsorship will cover 100% of University and college fees and a grant for living costs (of at least £14,057).

TGCL funding for Kenyan Students in Law
Scholarship Provider: Funded by the German Foreign Office through the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
Eligible Students: The requirements for admission to the LLM and PhD programmes are those applicable at the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law.
Course: The studentships are awarded for pursuing postgraduate study programme (LLM or PhD) at the Tanzanian-German Centre for Eastern African Legal Studies (TGCL).

Award Details: The Abraaj support will cover full international tuition fees to study at a Master’s level for two years at the Royal College of Art in London. A significant contribution towards living costs will also be provided.

Course: This is a one-year training program in 8 academic health centers, four in Africa and four in the USA.

Eligible Students: This financial aid is available for applicants from Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia, developing countries and from other countries.

Women’s Peacebuilding Leadership Program (WPLP) for Kenyan Students

Eligible Students: Applicants must have an undergraduate GPA of at least 2.75 (based on a four-point scale).
Course: The studentships are available for undertaking graduate certificate at Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) in the USA.
Award Details: WPLP is a fully grant-funded program. Students will have all program-related costs, including tuition and travel, covered by the generosity of funders.

Arturo Falaschi ICGEB Postdoctoral Fellowships in Life Sciences

 International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) of the Open University, UK
Eligible Students: Applicants must be nationals of an ICGEB Member State and may not apply for fellowships to be undertaken in their country of origin, unless working abroad at the time of application.
Course: Fellowships are awarded for scientists wishing to pursue postdoctoral research at the ICGEB laboratories located in Trieste and Monterotondo (Italy), New Delhi (India) and Cape Town (South Africa).

Eligible Students: The Visiting Fellowship for Outstanding Women Geoscientists is one of the core capacity building activities with the objective to improve the involvement of women in post-graduate studies.
Course: This is two months visiting fellowships programme.

Course: Awards are available for engineers to apply their skills to develop scalable solutions to local challenges, highlighting the importance of engineering as an enabler of improved quality of life and economic development.

Steve Huckvale Scholarships for Kenyan Students

 University of Nairobi in collaboration with the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) in Nairobi, the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Lund University, Sweden.
