Westminster Sri Lankan  Scholarships

Eligible Students: Applicant must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time Masters degree.

Eligible Students: Applicants must meet the eligibility requirements for the International Merit Scholarship.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degree level at Queensland University of Technology.
Award Details: Applicants will receive: a fee scholarship of 25% of your first semester fees and an ongoing fee scholarship of 25% per semester provided you meet the academic conditions.

International Merit  Sri Lankan Scholarships  in UK, 2017
Scholarship Provider:
The University of Sheffield, United Kingdom
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate programme.
Eligible
: The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction only.
Award: 50% of the annual undergraduate tuition fee.

ICTP Master Scholarships in Medical Physics for Sri Lankan Students
Scholarship Provider:
 The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP)  and Trieste University (co-sponsored by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and in collaboration with Trieste Hospitals).
Eligible Students: The Master’s Programme is open to young (generally below 30 years of age) qualified graduates from countries that are members of the United Nations, UNESCO or IAEA.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing masters degree level.
Award Details: A limited number of partial or full scholarships will be awarded to successful candidates from developing countries.

HM King’s and HM Queen’s Scholarships for Sri Lankan Students

Eligible Students: Applicants must have a good education record in a 4-year undergraduate program wit cGPA above 3.5 or equivalent, and high proficiency in English (a TOEFL score of 550 or equivalent).
Course: Scholarships are awarded for pursuing master’s degree program at the Asian Institute of Technology.
Award Details: Each scholarship award covers tuition fees, accommodation, and a bursary for living expenses in AIT’s residential campus.

New Zealand Commonwealth Scholarships for Sri Lankan Students
Scholarship Provider:
 New Zealand Government
Eligible Students: Candidates must reside in their country of citizenship until taking up the scholarship in New Zealand.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing Master’s or PhD studies in New Zealand.
Award Details: The New Zealand Commonwealth Scholarships scheme funds tuition and enrolment fees, an establishment allowance, a basic stipend, approved scholarship-related travel, some course-related costs, and medical and travel insurance.

INSEAD Ian Potter ’93D and Family Endowed Asia Scholarship for Sri Lankan Students

Eligible Students: Applicants must be applying for admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme in Computing, Engineering or Science (excluding Pharmacy) at NUS.
Course: Scholarship is available for pursuing undergraduate programme at National University of Singapore (NUS).
Award Details: Scholarship benefits include tuition fees (after MOE Tuition Grant Subsidy) and compulsory fees.

University of Sussex Economic and Social Development Scholarship for Sri Lankan Students

Eligible Students: In order to be considered for the Economic and Social Development Scholarship you must have applied for and been offered a place on a full time Master’s degree in the following subject areas only: Anthropology, Development Studies/International Development (including the Institute of Development Studies), Economics, Education (including MA in Childhood and Youth Studies), Gender Studies, International Relations, Human Rights, Migration Studies.
Course: Scholarship is available for a one-year (full time) Master’s degree programme.
Award Details: The scholarship includes £5,000 fee waiver.

IHRP Emerging Scholar Program for Sri Lankan Students

 The Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP), Mahidol University, Thailand
Eligible Students: Applicants eligible to be considered for this scholarship must meet admissions requirements for the MA Human Rights (International Program);
Course: Scholarship is available for pursuing MA degree programme.
Award Details: The scholarship allows for reduced tuition and thesis fees (4,200 Baht per credit to 1,200 Baht per credit each term and a 50 % of the cost of the thesis fee). There is no living allowance.

International Climate Protection Fellowships for Sri Lankan Students

 Federal Environment Ministry’s (BMU) International Climate Initiative
Eligible Students: The first university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) must have been obtained within the past 12 years, counting from the end of the application period
Course: Fellowships are available for undertaking research in Germany.
Award Details: Fellowship amount is according to qualifications between €2,150 and €2,650 per month.

Curtin International Merit Scholarships for Sri Lanka Students

Eligible Students: This scholarship is only for international, full fee-paying, non-sponsored students.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programme at the Curtin University
Award Details: This scholarship provides eligible students 25% of their first year tuition fee, up to a maximum of AUD$10,000.

Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program for Sri Lankan Students

: International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) and OCLC
Eligible Students: This is a intensive four-week Fellowship program based at OCLC’s headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, USA for library and information science professionals.
Award Details: The award provides each fellow airfare, coach class, from the recipient’s home country to the United States and return trip to the recipient’s home country (transportation to and from the airport in the recipient’s home country is the responsibility of the award recipient).
Course: This is a intensive four-week Fellowship program based at OCLC’s headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, USA for library and information science professionals.

ACFJ MA Journalism Fellowships for Sri Lankan Students

Eligible Students: An applicant must has at least two (2) years experience as a fulltime photojournalist/multimedia journalist, photographer or journalist.

MMDP Full Scholarships for Sri Lankan Students in Netherlands

Eligible Students: This scholarship programme is available to government officials, with a minimum of three years’ work experience in the field of migration and/or asylum.
Course: Scholarships are awarded for Migration Management Diploma Programme (MMDP).
Award Details: Scholarship includes a monthly sum to pay housing and living costs for a maximum of three months

Asia Foundation Development Fellows Program for Sri Lankans

: The Asia Foundation
Eligible Students: Asia Foundation Development Fellows must have a demonstrable record of high achievement, and must show evidence of outstanding potential for professional advancement, and significant impact in their chosen field.
Course: It is a year long fellowship program involving intensive learning modules-short courses, conferences and study tours in Asia and the USA.
Award Details: Fellows also receive a Professional Development Award of up to US$5,000 for their own personalized professional development plan.

Commonwealth Medical Fellowships for Sri Lankan Students

Provider: UK Department for International Development (DFID)
Eligible
Students: To apply for these fellowships, you must be a Commonwealth citizen, refugee, or British protected person
Course: Fellowships are available to doctors and dentists to enable them to spend between three and six months at a UK hospital.
Award Details: Each fellowship provides approved airfare from your home country to the UK and return at the end of your award (the CSC will not reimburse the cost of fares for dependants, nor usually the cost of journeys made before your award is finally confirmed)

Mexican Government Scholarship Program

Eligible Students: Student must be accepted to or currently enrolled in a program at one of the participating Mexican institutions.
Course: Scholarships are available for a specialization, master’s degree or doctorate, conducting graduate-level research, or taking part in an undergraduate or graduate-level academic mobility program in Mexico.
Award Details: Monthly stipend of 4 times the minimum salary in Mexico City for undergraduate mobility scholarships, specializations, master’s degrees or master’s-level research, Spanish language or Mexican culture courses, currently the equivalent of $8,412.00 pesos (approximately US $546.234)

MMMF Grant for Women of Sri Lankan Students

 The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund
Eligible Students: Eligible applicants are women from developing countries currently enrolled at the University of Witwatersrand, University of Stellenbosch, University of Pretoria and University of Cape Town in South Africa.
Course: Grant is available for students who are currently studying at the University of Witwatersrand, University Stellenbosch, University of Pretoria and University of Capetown.
Award Details: MMMF awards grants of approximately US$4,000 each.

DAAD Master Scholarships for Sri Lankan Students
Scholarship Provider:
 (German Academic Exchange Service)
Eligible Students: The scholarship scheme is open to candidates from Africa, Latin America, South Asia, Southeast Asia as well as from countries in the Middle East.
Course: Scholarships are for Master courses at a German institution of higher education.
Award Details: DAAD pays a monthly scholarship rate of currently 750 €. The scholarship also includes contributions to health insurance in Germany.

Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for Sri Lankan Students
Scholarship Provider:
 The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)
Eligible Students: Applicants must have the nationality of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan. Applicants with no official nationality are also eligible to apply.
Course: Scholarships are available to study at a Japanese college of technology. A graduated grantee will be awarded a diploma and an associate degree.
Award Details: Applicant will receive allowance 117,000 yen per month.

Fulbright Masters Student Awards for Sri Lankan Citizens
Scholarship Provider: United States – Sri Lanka Fulbright Commission
Eligible Students: Applicant must be a Sri Lankan citizen and have continuously resided in Sri Lanka for a minimum of 2 years up to the time of applying for this award.
Course: Awards are available for pursuing master degree in American universities.
Award Details
: Awards are available for the maximum of 2 academic years.

Developing Country Eye Researcher Travel Fellowships for Sri Lankan Students
Scholarship Provider
: ARVO Foundation for Eye Research and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology
Eligible Students: Candidates must be citizens of a developing country. Candidates should have either an MD or PhD or equivalent professional degree and have a desire to pursue a career in teaching and research in vision and ophthalmology, whether clinical or basic, in their home countries.
Course: Fellowships are available to pursue a career in teaching and research.
Award Details: Researchers selected for participation receive an award that covers transportation, lodging and per diem, in addition to registration for the ARVO Annual Meeting and complimentary ARVO membership for one year.
