Japan-WCO Human Resource Development Scholarship
Applications are invited for Japan-WCO Human Resource Development Programme to undertake Master’s level studies at the Aoyama Gakuin University (AGU) in Tokyo, Japan. This scholarship is awarded to young customs officer of a developing member of the WCO with quality work experience of at least three years in the field of customs policy and administration in his/her home country.
New Zealand Commonwealth Scholarships
The New Zealand Government offers commonwealth scholarship for the students of participating developing commonwealth countries. The scholarship is offered for master and PhD studies at New Zealand universities. The scholarships will cover tuition and enrolment fees and provide an establishment allowance, a basic stipend, approved scholarship-related travel, some course-related costs and medical and travel insurance.
INSEAD Ian Potter ’93D and Family Endowed Asia Scholarship
INSEAD is offering Asia Scholarship to pursue MBA programme at the Asia Campus in Singapore. Candidates from Asian countries are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates from developing countries and Singaporeans. The scholarship values up to €10,000. The scholarship is awarded exclusively to candidates in need. The application deadline is 16th July 2014.
ICTP Master Scholarships in Medical Physics
Applications are invited for master scholarships in Medical Physics. A limited number of partial or full scholarships will be awarded to successful candidates from developing countries. ICTP will also cover, on the basis of a detailed request, travel costs and course fees for a limited number of successful candidates from developing countries who are not awarded the full scholarship. Mexican Government Scholarship Program
Applications are invited for Mexican Government scholarship program available for foreign students. Scholarships for academic studies are offered for those who preferred to take complete programs for Specialization, Master’s or PhD Degrees and Postgraduate Researches. Likewise, the offer includes academic mobility for Bachelor’s and Postgraduate Degree. On the other hand, the scholarships for special programs are offered to take short-term fellowships addressed to Visiting Professors, Researchers in Mexico’s issues, Media Contributors, Art Production Fellowships, etc. The application deadline is July 31st, 2014.
2014 DAAD Master Scholarships for Public Policy and Good Governance
DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) is funding master scholarships in Public Policy and Good Governance at German institution in Germany. A monthly scholarship rate of currently 750 € will be awarded. Scholarships also provide health insurance, travel allowance as well as a study and research subsidy and in applicable cases accommodation subsidies and/or family allowances. The next application deadline is 31st July 2014.
Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) invites applications for college scholarships available for international students to study at a Japanese college of technology. A graduated grantee will be awarded a diploma and an associate degree. Scholarship awards will be tenable for four years from April, 2015 to March, 2019 including one-year preparatory education in the Japanese language and other subjects due to be provided upon arrival in Japan.
Westminster International Scholarships
University of Westminster offers international scholarships for students from developing countries to pursue master program. These fully funded scholarships will include full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence, financial need and development potential. Preference will be given to junior faculty members of partner Universities in Vietnam. Application should be submitted till 17th October 2014.
MMMF Grant for Women of Developing Countries
Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund is offering grant for women of developing countries in South Africa. Applicant must be women and enrolled at the University of Pretoria, the University of Cape Town, the University of Stellenbosch or the University of Witwatersrand. The deadline for applications is August 31, 2014.
Fulbright Masters Student Awards for Sri Lankan Citizens
Applications are invited for Fulbright Masters Student Awards available for Sri Lankan students to do their postgraduate (master’s level only) study in American universities. Graduates who have not had extensive prior exposure to the United States are encouraged to apply. Awards are available in the field of Social Sciences & Humanities, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Architecture and Engineering, Commerce and Management Studies. Application should be submitted till 30th of July 2014.
MBA Scholarships at University of the West of England
University of the West of England, Bristol is offering MBA Scholarships for South American, Nigerian, Ghanaian, Indian, Nepalese, Sri Lankan and Chinese, Vietnamese, Malaysian and Indonesian students. Up to four scholarships are available for one per region. The scholarships will provide 100% of fees (£15,000). Application should be submitted till 1 July for the MBA commencing in September and 1 November for the MBA commencing in January.
International Bursaries at University of Central Lancashire
University of Central Lancashire is awarding international bursaries for September 2014/15 entry. The value of each bursary is £1,000 GBP per year. These bursaries are awarded for undergraduate and postgraduate taught applicants who are nationals of the eligible countries. Appropriately qualified applicants would also be eligible for the Vice Chancellor’s International Award. Application deadline is 31st May, 2014.
Innovative International Scholarships – Merit Scholarship
Curtin University offers Innovative International Scholarships – Merit Scholarship in Australia. Scholarships are available for pursuing Undergraduate and Postgraduate Coursework degree level at Curtin University. The students of Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, India, Kenya, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Zambia or Zimbabwe can apply for these scholarships. SLCSF Scholarships for Sri Lankan Students, 2014
Sri Lanka – Canada Scholarship Foundation (SLCSF) is offering Scholarships for Sri Lankan Students to advanced level. The scholarships will provide $24,120.13. SLCSF Scholarships are currently limited only to Sri Lankan students who have passed the most recent GCE (O/L) examination with a minimum of seven (7) A’s and are now studying for their GCE (Advanced Level) examination. Unfortunately, SLCSF will not be able to currently help other applicants outside this target group due to limited funds.
Sir Ratan Tata Fellowships for South Asian Students
The Sir Ratan Tata Foundation and the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) invite applications for the Sir Ratan Tata research fellowships. Fellowships are available for a period of up to eight months during the 2014-15 academic year and based at the LSE Asia Research Centre (ARC). Application should be submitted till May 12, 2014.
Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program
Zhejiang University is offering Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program to pursue two year English-taught master program i.e.“Master in Public Administration: Asia Synergy Program for Future Leaders”. Otsuka Toshimi Scholarship Foundation
Otsuka Toshimi Scholarship Foundation is offering scholarships for the students from Asia, the Middle East, Africa or Brazil, Russia, or the Czech Republic. Applicants must be majoring in medicine, pharmacology, nutrition, physical education or business administration in an official degree program at a university or graduate school in Japan. UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Scholarships
The UNESCO Madanjeet Centre for South Asia Forestry Studies (UMCSAFS) at Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environment (UWICE), Bumthang, Bhutan is offering scholarships for South Asian students. Scholarships will be awarded for three years Sustainable Development degree program to be undertaken at College of Natural Resources (CNR), Royal University of Bhutan in Lobesa, Punakha, Bhutan from July 2014 to July 2017. 2014 Korean Government Scholarship Program in Korea
Applications are invited for Korean Government Scholarship program for graduate students. The applicant and his/her parents must have foreign citizenship. Up to 880 scholarships will be awarded for pursuing master and PhD studies at participating Universities in Korea as designated by NIIED. GPTS Doctoral Scholarships for Sri Lankan Students
University of Heidelberg under Graduate Programme for Transcultural Studies is offering doctoral scholarships to European and Asian students. Sri Lanka Merit Undergraduate Scholarships
University of Sheffield offers two merit undergraduate scholarships. Scholarships for Sri Lankan students are open for undergraduate degree studies in September 2014. Scholarships (£7,000 each) will be awarded for each year of study for all undergraduate programmes except Medicine and Dentistry which will be awarded only for first two years. Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield. The application deadline is April 25, 2014.
Call for VLIR-UOS ICP PhD Scholarships
VLIR-UOS annually awards ten ICP PhD scholarships for a maximum of four years (48 months). These PhD scholarships are available to excellent graduates from Africa, Asia and Latin America who have studied in a VLIR-UOS funded international master course (ICP) in Flanders and wish to make a PhD at a Flemish university. The research should be carried out on a development oriented subject; in a so-called sandwich programme. The deadline of submission to the ICOS of the Flemish university is between 24 February and March 7, 2014

International Students House Residential Scholarships
Applications are invited for residential scholarships in London for the September 2014 intake. IDRC Doctoral Research Awards
IDRC offers research awards for Sri Lankan and developing countries’ students for pursuing doctoral studies at a Canadian university. These awards are intended for field research in one or more developing countries. The award will cover expenses of up to CA$20,000 a year which includes one return trip from Canada to the developing country, housing, food, insurance, travel within the country(ies) of research, and several field research expenses. The application deadline is 2nd April, 2014 and awards will be announced in September, 2014.
INSA JRD-Tata Fellowship Programme
The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) offers fellowship programme for Sri Lankans in India. It covers short-term, participatory research studies in all major disciplines of science and technology including engineering and medical sciences at premier research institutions in India. Applicants possessing Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Science or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Medicine and allied disciplines, candidates below 45 years of age may apply.
International Climate Protection Fellowships
Federal Environment Ministry’s (BMU) is funding International Climate Protection Fellowships for Sri Lankan and developing countries’ applicants. Fellowships are available for prospective leaders to conduct a research-based project in the field of climate protection and climate-related resource conservation during a one-year stay in Germany. Up to 20 International Climate Protection Fellowships are granted annually for a period of one year in Germany. The application deadline is March 15, 2014.
International Space University MSc Scholarship Program
International Space University is offering financial aid to MSc students to study in France. These MSc scholarships for Sri Lankans will be awarded to cover tuition fees. ICO-SAARC One-Year Subspecialty Fellowships in Ophthalmology
The International Council of Ophthalmology is inviting applications for ten to twelve fellowships in ophthalmology. This one-year (total) fellowship offers two options for study, depending on the training resources available in the applicants’ country. Living costs are covered by the Southasian (SAARC) Academy of Ophthalmology (SAO) and amount of up to US$6000 is awarded.

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) offers fellowship programme for scientists from developing countries in India. It covers short-term, participatory research studies in all major disciplines of science and technology including engineering and medical sciences at the Indian Centres of Excellence.
