Eligible Students: Applicants must from any citizen of Asian countries; Graduated in related fields from an accredited institution; Have a good education record in a 4-year undergraduate program with CGPA above 3.5 or equivalent, and high proficiency in English (a TOEFL score of 550 or equivalent).

Global Leaders Fellowship for Graduate Students in USA, 2016-2017

Eligible Students: Students holding an F-1 visa (J-1 visa is eligible for Fulbright applicants only) and who are from the following countries or regions (chosen based on protocol arrangements and areas of the world underrepresented at GW) are eligible to apply: China (PRC), Cambodia, Eastern Europe, Laos, Latin America, The Caribbean, Mongolia, Sub-Saharan Africa, U.S.S.R. Successor States and Vietnam.
Courses: Fellowships are available for pursuing graduate (master’s and doctoral) degree level at George Washington University.
Award Details: Three Global Leaders Fellowships, which will cover up to 18 credit hours will be awarded for 2016-17. The grantee is to provide funds from other sources for books, living, and other expenses, and must provide certification of this support. A Fellowship is renewable each year for a cumulative maximum of three years for Master’s candidates and up to five years for doctoral candidates. A grantee must submit renewal materials for the Fellowship each year; renewal is contingent upon the grantee’s grades (GPA of 3.0 or better). The Fellowship is valid for one degree only. Fellowships apply to the fall and spring semesters. Awards for the summer sessions are by petition only and subject to available funding.

Award Details:  An MMMF grant covers only a portion of the total costs for an academic year.

Adelaide International Undergraduate Scholarships (AIUS) in Australia, 2016

Global Change Leaders Program for Women from Developing Countries, Canada

Eligible Students: This program is targeted to emerging women leaders from developing countries who are working on development issues.
Courses: It is a seven-week education program at St. Francis Xavier University.
Award Details: The Global Change Leaders program provides successful candidates with a full scholarship that includes tuition, travel, accommodations, and meals. Program participants also benefit from the guidance and mentorship of accomplished women leaders from around the world.

INSEAD Deepak and Sunita Gupta Endowed Scholarship for Developing Countries
Scholarship Provider: INSEAD Business School
Eligible Students:  Candidates from emerging/developing countries who can demonstrate proven financial need.
Course: Scholarship is available for pursuing master degree program at INSEAD Business School.
Award Details:  Scholarship has a value of Up to €25,000.

Intermediate Fellowships for Developing Countries (Cambodia)
Scholarship Provider: Wellcome Trust, UK
Eligible Students: To be eligible for the scholarship the applicant must be a national or legal resident of a low- and middle-income country.
Courses: Fellowships are available for an independent research program.
Award Details: Fellowships provide support that includes: a basic salary for the fellow -research expenses (e.g. consumables, equipment, collaborative travel, research assistance, technical support, and fieldwork and data collection); training costs where appropriate and justified an inflation and flexible funding allowance -support to attend scientific meetings; provision for public engagement costs. Contributions to costs of the project which are directly incurred by the overseas institution may be provided.
Application Deadline: The application deadline is 12 November.

TWAS-NCP Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Pakistan

TWAS and The National Centre for Physics
Eligible Students: To be eligible for the scholarship the applicant must be permanent residents in a developing country
Courses:  Fellowships are available for pursuing postdoctoral research program.
Award Details: NCP will provide a monthly stipend which should be used to cover living costs such as food, accommodation and health insurance. The monthly stipend will not be convertible into foreign currency.
Application Deadline:  The application deadline is 15 September.

International Climate Protection Fellowships for Developing Countries in Germany
Scholarship Provider: Federal Environment Ministry’s (BMU) International Climate Initiative, Germany.
Eligible Students: To be eligible for the fellowship applicant must have university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) completed with outstanding results less than 12 years prior to the start of the fellowship; Clearly visible leadership potential demonstrated by experience in a leadership position, or appropriate references.
Course: This fellowship is for pursuing research program in Germany.
Award Details:  The fellowship amount reflects the fellow’s academic and professional qualifications, current position and professional experience and is currently set at 2,150
EUR, 2,450 EUR or 2,750 EUR per month. This includes a mobility lump sum and a contribution towards health and
liability insurance.
Application Deadline: The next application round is scheduled to start on 15 October.

TWAS-BIOTEC Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme in Thailand, 2015
Scholarship Provider:
TWAS-Biotechnology at the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology
Eligible Students: To be eligible for the scholarship the applicant must be nationals of a developing country (other than Thailand).
Courses: Fellowships are available for pursuing postdoctoral research program.
Award Details: BIOTEC will provide a standard monthly allowance which should be used to cover living costs, such as accommodation and food.

SEASREP Language Training and Postgraduate Study Grants for Southeast Asians
Scholarship Provider:
The Southeast Asian Studies Regional Exchange Program (SEASREP) Foundation.
Eligible Students: Language Training Grant: Southeast Asian nationals enrolled in graduate programs in the social sciences or humanities in a university in Southeast Asia. Applicants must not be older than 40 years old.
Courses: Language training grants are available for training (not for basic training but for intermediate to advanced levels) with a tutor accredited by a university or a recognized language training institute in the region. Postgraduate study grants are available for MA or PhD course work and/or thesis research (documentary research and field work) and thesis writing; and Postdoctoral research program.
Award Details: The Language Training Grant covers accommodation and living expenses, foreign travel, and tutor’s fee. The maximum amounts for grant expenses are as follows: Masters Degree: Accommodation and Living Expenses: $350 per month; Foreign Travel: Actual cost; Tutor’s Fee: $250 per month; PhD Degree: Accommodation and Living Expenses: $400 per month; Foreign Travel: Actual cost; Tutor’s Fee: $250 per month. Postgraduate Study Grant covers research and accommodation and living expenses. The maximum amounts for grant expenses are as follows: Masters Degree: Accommodation and Living Expenses: $350 per month; Maximum Grant: $5,000; PhD Degree: Accommodation and Living Expenses: $400 per month; Maximum Grant: $7,000; Postdoctoral: Accommodation and Living Expenses: $400 per month; Maximum Grant: $10,000

SEAMEO-Australia Education Links Award
Scholarship Provider:
Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) and the Government of Australia.
Eligible Students: The Award is open to any national (natural person or body corporate) of a SEAMEO Member Country. The SEAMEO Member Countries are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.
Courses: The SEAMEO-Australia Education Links Award gives recognition and financial assistance to projects or proposals that demonstrate education cooperation between Australia and Southeast Asia to bring about a better quality of life through positive relations, education advancement, cultural harmony, innovation, and research.
Award Details: The winner will receive a grant worth AUD$10,000, which is expected to support activities in relation to the winning innovative idea or project.

Open Society Civil Society Leadership Award (CSLA) Program, 2016-2017

Eligible Students: CSLA does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
Courses: Awards are available for pursuing master degree study at host universities across the world.

ANZCA International Scholarship in Australia or New Zealand, 2016

Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA)
Eligible Students: Applicants are required to satisfy the following criteria a graduate of his or her country’s specialty training program to local fellowship or master’s level.
Course: Scholarship is available for pursuing training in a hospital in Australia and New Zealand.
Award Details:  Funding will cover: Return economy class airfare between home country and Australia or New Zealand; Assistance for family travel may be provided; Visa, medical insurance, registration, police check and other related expenses; A living allowance; Costs of attendance at approved educational activities

BU Dean’s Scholarships for International Students in UK, 2015
Scholarship Provider: Bournemouth University, UK
Eligible Students: Applicants cannot be in receipt of any other BU scholarships.
Courses: Scholarships are available for pursuing full-time taught postgraduate courses at Bournemouth University.
Award Details: These Dean Scholarships include 50% fee reduction.

IGIDR-IDRC Scholarships and Fellowships for Asian Countries Students
Scholarship Provider:
International Development Research Center, Canada (IDRC)
Eligible Students: The scholarship minimum qualification for admission to M.Sc. program includes one of the following degrees or their equivalents: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Economics/Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Statistics/Bachelor of Science in Physics or Mathematics/Bachelor of Technology/Bachelor of Engineering, with at least a Second Class/Division for Economics discipline and First Class/Division for other disciplines. The applicant must have studied Mathematics at the higher secondary (12 years School Leaving Examination) or higher level.
Courses: Scholarships and fellowships are available to visit IGIDR for a period of 12 months (extendable to a maximum of another 12 months) to undertake doctoral and postdoctoral research in any field within Economics, with a special focus on Labor Market and Industrial Policy.
Award Details: Selected Masters applicant will receive IDRC funded scholarships that include: monthly scholarship of INR 10000, Medical Coverage of INR 25000 per year, and one time travel grant up to a maximum of INR 50000; Selected M.Phil applicant will receive IDRC funded fellowships that include: a monthly stipend of INR 17000/- in the first two years, Medical coverage of INR 25000 per year; Selected visiting doctoral applicant will be paid INR 26000 a month towards scholarship; Selected postdoctoral applicants will be paid a fellowship of INR 50000 per month; Research grant of INR 100000, and conference travel support up to a maximum of INR 150000.

CAS-TWAS President’s PhD Fellowship Program in China, 2015
Scholarship Provider:
Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS)
Eligible Students: Applicants must be maximum age of 35 years on 31 December 2015; Not take up other assignments during the period of his/her fellowship
Courses: Fellowship is available for pursuing PhD studies at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) or Institutes of CAS around China.
Award Details: CAS, fellowship awardees will receive a monthly stipend (to cover accommodation and other living expenses, local travel expenses and health insurance) of RMB 7,000 or RMB 8,000 from CAS through UCAS/USTC, depending on whether he/she has passed the qualification test arranged by UCAS/USTC for all PhD candidates after admission. All awardees will also be provided tuition and admission fee waivers.

Japan International Award for Young Agricultural Researchers (JIRCAS) in Developing Countries, 2015
Scholarship Provider:
Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF)
Eligible Students: Scholarship applicant should be under the age of 40 (as of January 01, 2015)
Courses:   Award is available to undertake research programme.
Award Details: The JIRCAS award winners will be invited to Japan to receive their awards personally and present their research results and achievements. The winners will be bestowed a testimonial by the Chairman of the AFFRC during the commendation ceremony and will also receive a cash prize of US$5,000 each from JIRCAS.

Guangxi Government Scholarship for ASEAN Students in China, 2015
Scholarship Provider:
People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
Eligible Students: Scholarship for bachelor’s degree: applicants should have graduated from a senior high school and keep an outstanding academic record and aged below 25 years old.
Courses:  Scholarships are available for pursuing to study (bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree) or make scientific research in the institutions of higher learning of Guangxi.
Award Details: The scholarship is divided into two categories: full scholarship and outstanding student award.

Georg Forster Research Fellowship (HERMES) for Nepalese Students
Scholarship Provider:
Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and is Co financed by the European Union (EU) in the 7th Framework Programme.
Eligible Students: In providing Georg Forster Research Fellowships for experienced researchers, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly-qualified scientists and scholars from abroad, who completed their doctorates less than twelve years ago 1 to spend extended periods of research (6-18 months; may be divided up into a maximum of three blocks) in Germany. Candidates are expected to have their own, clearly defined research profile. This means they should usually be working at least at the level of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Group Leader or be able to document independent research work over a number of years.
Course: Fellowship is awarded for postdoctoral researchers to carry out long-term research of their own choice (6 to 24 months) at a research institution in Germany together with an academic host they have chosen yourself.
Award Details: The scholarship covers A monthly fellowship of 2,650 EUR for postdoctoral researchers (doctorate completed within the last four years) or 3,150 EUR for experienced researchers (doctorate completed within the last 12 years).
Application Deadline: The application deadline is 15 June.
