Finnish Government EDUFI Fellowships Programme in Finland, 2020
Scholarship Provider: Finnish National Agency for Education.
Eligible Students: Visiting Doctoral-level students and researchers who are doing their Doctorate degree at some foreign university can also be considered eligible.
Course: Fellowships are available for pursuing doctoral studies at a Finnish university in Finland.
Award Details: The university will first pay the grant to the fellow as a personal grant and will then invoice it to EDUFI after the end of the fellowship.
Application Deadline: Rolling but apply five months before the planned start of the fellowship.

George Washington University Hyundai Scholarship in USA, 2020
Scholarship Provider: The George Washington University, USA
Eligible Students: Hyundai Scholarships of up to full tuition (fees excluded) are awarded for the period of one academic year for-1 or U.S. Citizens that are incoming and studying full-time at the PhD or Master’s level at GWU in the School of Engineering and Applied Science or the School of Business. (Other schools and programs are not eligible. Current students are not eligible.)

WIMM Prize PhD Studentships at University of Oxford in UK, 2017
Scholarship Provider: University of Oxford
Eligible Students: Applicants must have a First Class or 2.1 degree (UK) or the equivalent degree from an overseas university (EU/overseas students can contact the National Academic Recognition Information Centre (UK NARIC) to work out the equivalency of their degree.
Course: Studentships are offered for PhD level of study at University of Oxford.
Award Details: Studentships are fully funded for 4 years and include a stipend of £18,000 pa, University and College fees. There is no rotation in the first year.

CAS-TWAS President’s PhD Fellowship Programme in China, 2019
Scholarship Provider: Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS)
Eligible Students: Applicants must: Be maximum age of 35 years on 31 December 2015; Not take up other assignments during the period of his/her fellowship; Not hold Chinese citizenship;
Course: Fellowship is available for pursuing PhD studies at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) or Institutes of CAS around China.
Award Details:  CAS, fellowship awardees will receive a monthly stipend (to cover accommodation and other living expenses, local travel expenses and health insurance) of RMB 7,000 or RMB 8,000 from CAS through UCAS/USTC, depending on whether he/she has passed the qualification test arranged by UCAS/USTC for all PhD candidates after admission. All awardees will also be provided tuition and admission fee waivers.

Wellcome Trust Masters Degree Scholarships for International Students UK, 2016
Scholarship Provider: Welcome Trust, UK
Eligible Students: The fellowship is open to individuals with a relevant connection to the European Economic Area (EEA) for fellowships to be held in a UK or Republic of Ireland institution. Non-UK candidates should contact the office for advice before submitting an application.
Course: Fellowships are available to undertake substantial training through high-quality research in an appropriate unit or clinical research facility, towards a PhD or MD qualification.
Award Details: The support includes: a stipend, travel costs (eg outward and return airfares) and approved tuition fees, according to the rate charged by the training organisation.

Hertz Graduate Fellowship Award In USA, 2017 
Scholarship Provider: The Hertz Foundation
Eligible Students: Eligible applicants for Hertz Fellowships must be students of the applied physical,biological and engineering sciences who are citizens or permanent residents of the United States of America, and who are willing to morally commit to make their skills available to the United States in time of national emergency (see our Moral Commitment section).
Course: The Foundation supports graduate students working towards the PhD degree at one of the Foundation’s currently participating schools. The Foundation does not support study in pursuit of the MD degree or work in descriptive biology, although it may support the PhD portion of a joint M.D /PhD study program.
Award Details: Fellowship consists of a cost-of-education allowance and a personal-support stipend. Eligible Students: The scholarship is available to eligible candidates to undertake either: Research Training Pathway (RTP) MRes Year 2 followed by a possible Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship (MQRES) for a 3 year PhD. This is referred to as an MRes/PhD ‘bundle offer’. Direct entry to a 3 year PhD program.

Award Details: The value and tenure of the scholarship is: The MRES Year 2 full-time stipend rate is $16,000 per annum for students achieving a GPA of 75-84% in the qualification used for entry, tax exempt, for 1 year. Zhejiang University Marine Scholarship of China for Non-Chinese Students in China, 2019

Eligible Students: The applicant should be a citizen of non-Chinese nationality in good health, from a coastal/island country of South China Sea, the Indian Ocean, the Pacific and its surround island countries or an African developing country.

Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowships, 2019-20

Eligible Students: The applicant should hold a female and are a citizen of a developing country or emerging economy. You are not eligible to apply if you hold dual citizenship of which one is a citizenship of a developed country
Course: Fellowships are available to pursue PhD or postdoctoral studies at leading universities abroad.
Award Details: Faculty for the Future grants are based on actual costs for eligible expenses up to a maximum of USD 50,000 per year and may be renewed through to completion of studies subject to performance, self-evaluation, a recommendation from supervisors and strong evidence of re-integration plans into the home country.

Eligible Students: The Scholarships are open to citizens of Zimbabwe, normally under the age of 35 and normally resident in Zimbabwe, who already have, or expect to obtain before 1 October 2016, a first class or high second class degree or its equivalent from a recognised University. Preference will be given to students wishing to study subjects relevant to the development of Zimbabwe.
Course: Scholarships are available for a one-year graduate taught course, leading to a postgraduate qualification (usually the MPhil degree) and a three-year course of research, leading to the PhD degree.
Award Details: Each category of scholarship provides: the University composition fee (home rate: PhD; overseas rate: MPhil); a maintenance allowance for a single student; and a contribution to a return economy airfare.

Aston School of Engineering & Applied Science PhD Studentship in UK, 2017
Scholarship Provider: Aston University, UK
Eligible Students: Applicants should have been awarded, or expect to achieve, a first or upper second class Honours degree or a Master’s degree in a relevant subject (or an equivalent qualification from an overseas institution). Please provide transcripts of the marks you have already achieved with your application. If your qualification is suitable and your grades are good, we would normally accepted this as providing evidence of your research potential.
Course: Studentship is available for pursuing full-time PhD programme at the Aston University.
Award Details: This studentship includes a fee bursary to cover the home/EU fees rate plus a maintenance allowance of £14,057 in 2015/16. Applicants from outside the EU may apply for this studentship but will need to pay the difference between the ‘Home/EU’ and the ‘Overseas’ tuition fees, currently this is £11,448 in 2015/16. As part of the application you will be required to confirm that you have applied for, or, secured this additional funding, or confirmation that this funding support is in place will be required as part of the application process.
