University of Nottingham is inviting applications for developing solutions masters scholarships available for the students of Ghana. Applicants must already hold an offer to start a full-time masters degree programme, including MRes at Nottingham for September 2015. Up to 105 scholarships are awarded. Up to 30 scholarships will cover 100% tuition fee and up to 75 scholarships will cover 50% towards tuition fees. The application deadline is 24 April 2015.
TICA Fellowships for Annual International Training Courses (AITC) in Thailand, 2015

University of Oxford is offering MSc scholarship in African Studies for the students of Ghana. This scholarship for Ghanaian students is only tenable at Linacre College. All eligible applicants will be considered for this scholarship, regardless of which college (if any) they state as their preference on the graduate application form. However, successful applicants will be transferred to Linacre College in order to take up the scholarship. Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences Awards in Ghana, 2014
Ghana Awards are available for thesis or dissertations in Arts and Sciences. Three types of awards will be given: Gold Award, Silver Award and Candidates Bronze Award. The Gold Award is given for the most distinguished contribution to knowledge by a Ghanaian in a specific field. For Silver Award, works offered may include these or dissertations presented by a Ghanaian for any of the higher degrees, accepted by a recognized Ghanaian University between 2008 and 2013. African Peacebuilding Network (APN) Individual Research Grants for Ghanaian Students, 2015
APN individual research grants are offered to African researchers, policy analysts and practitioners working on conflict and peacebuilding issues at universities and research institutions or regional governmental and nongovernmental organizations in Africa. Up to ten individual grants of $15,000 will be awarded. Grants are awarded on a competitive, peer-reviewed basis and are intended to support six months of field-based research, from May 2015 to November 2015. The application deadline is December 14, 2014.
Developing Country Eye Researcher Travel Fellowships, 2015
ARVO Foundation for Eye Research in partnership with the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology are inviting applications for research travel fellowships.. Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships
Swiss Government, through the Federal Commission offers excellence scholarships for foreign scholars and artists in Switzerland. The scholarships are available for pursuing PhD, postdoctoral and research programs at one of the public funded universities or recognized institution. The applicant must not be more than 35 years old at the moment of the application. The Scholarship is only valid for a full time Postdoctoral Research or Research in Switzerland. It is not valid for mixed Postdoctoral Research or mixed Research (part time in Switzerland and part time in a third country).
Canadian Government Doctoral Research Scholarships
Each year, the government of Canada offers doctoral research scholarships for international students. Scholarships are awarded for pursuing doctoral studies at Québec University in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering fields. The maximum annual value of the scholarship is $20 000. The scholarship holder may also receive up to nine payments totaling $60 000 during the nine sessions or 36 months. Only students who have been pre selected by a Québec university may apply for these scholarships. Applicants must consult the deadlines of the universities for pre selection. The deadline for submitting complete files directly to the FRQNT is November 1st, 2014.
Chevening Scholarships for Postgraduate Students
Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations offer Chevening scholarships for master students. The programme provides full or part funding for full-time courses at postgraduate level, normally a one-year Master’s degree in any subject and at any UK University. Chevening scholarships cover tuition fees, a living allowance at a set rate (for one individual), an economy class return airfare to the UK and additional grants to cover essential expenditure. Some Scholarships cover part of the cost of studying in the UK; for example, tuition fees only or allowances only. The application deadline is 15th November 2014.
Netherlands Fellowship Programme for Developing Countries’ Students,
Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation is offering Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) for developing country applicants. WAAW Foundation Scholarship for Undergraduate African Women, 2015

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships
The Government of Canada offers Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships for Canadian and international students studying at Canadian universities. Up to 167 scholarships are awarded annually for a period of three years. Students must be nominated by only one Canadian university, which must have received a Vanier CGS allocation. Candidates cannot apply directly to the Vanier CGS program. Each Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship is valued at $50,000 per year. Application deadline for the 2014-2015 competition is November 5, 2014.
Sri Lankan Government Presidential Scholarships
Applications are invited for up to 100 Sri Lankan Government Scholarships available for foreign students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degree commencing in December 2014 in Sri Lanka. Scholarships are open for courses of studies other than Medical & Dental Sciences. Every student is required to undergo an HIV/AIDS test within a month after arrival. Candidates should apply for this scholarship with the recommendation of the government scholarship nominating agency (Ministry/Institution) of the respective country till 15th October, 2014.
African Graduate Fellowship at American University in Cairo, Egypt 2014-2015
American University in Cairo is offering graduate fellowship for Non-Egyptian African nationals. Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) invites applications for college scholarships available for international students to study at a Japanese college of technology. A graduated grantee will be awarded a diploma and an associate degree. Scholarship awards will be tenable for four years from April, 2015 to March, 2019 including one-year preparatory education in the Japanese language and other subjects due to be provided upon arrival in Japan.

The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) is awarding eight prizes of USD 15,000 each to individual scientist. Nominations of women scientists are particularly encouraged. Eight TWAS prizes will be awarded. Each prize is accompanied by a medal. The application deadline is 28th February 2014.
Early Career Development Fellowship
This fellowship is available for early career development and continuing education for library and information science professionals. Applicants must have at least three years, but no more than eight years, of library or information science experience. The application deadline is February 14, 2014.
