Applications are invited for APN individual research grants available for Egyptian researchers, policy analysts and practitioners working on conflict and peace building issues at universities and research institutions or regional governmental and nongovernmental organizations in Africa. All applicants must be African citizens currently residing in an African country. Up to ten individual grants of $15,000 will be awarded. Imam Bukhari and Imam Tirmizi Visiting Research Fellowships in UK, 2015
Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies is funding research fellowships for Egyptian student. Preference will be given to those studying classical Islamic sciences, although other areas in the humanities and social sciences will be considered. IRO Doctoral Scholarship Programme
Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) annually invites applications for IRO doctoral scholarship programme available for students from Developing Countries. The IRO Doctoral Scholarships are only granted for doctoral programmes for a maximum period of 48 months and eventually for one pre-doctoral year as preparation period for the doctoral programme. Applicants may choose a research topic proposed by one of the KU Leuven Doctoral Schools: Humanities and Social Sciences Science, Engineering and Technology Biomedical Sciences or applicants may propose their own research topic. Senior Fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine
Applications are invited for senior fellowships available for outstanding researchers to establish themselves as leading investigators at an academic institution in a low- and middle-income country location. Research should be aimed at understanding and improving public health and tropical medicine of local, national and global relevance. Public health and tropical medicine cover a wide range of health problems, including communicable and non-communicable diseases. Applicant must be a resident of a low- and middle-income country. Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships
Swiss Government, through the Federal Commission offers excellence scholarships for foreign scholars and artists in Switzerland. The scholarships are available for pursuing PhD, postdoctoral and research programs at one of the public funded universities or recognized institution. The applicant must not be more than 35 years old at the moment of the application. The Scholarship is only valid for a full time Postdoctoral Research or Research in Switzerland. It is not valid for mixed Postdoctoral Research or mixed Research (part time in Switzerland and part time in a third country).
Canadian Government Doctoral Research Scholarships
Each year, the government of Canada offers doctoral research scholarships for international students. Scholarships are awarded for pursuing doctoral studies at Québec University in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering fields. The maximum annual value of the scholarship is $20 000. The scholarship holder may also receive up to nine payments totaling $60 000 during the nine sessions or 36 months. Only students who have been pre selected by a Québec university may apply for these scholarships. Applicants must consult the deadlines of the universities for pre selection. The deadline for submitting complete files directly to the FRQNT is November 1st, 2014.
Chevening Scholarships for Postgraduate Students
Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations offer Chevening scholarships for master students. The programme provides full or part funding for full-time courses at postgraduate level, normally a one-year Master’s degree in any subject and at any UK University. Chevening scholarships cover tuition fees, a living allowance at a set rate (for one individual), an economy class return airfare to the UK and additional grants to cover essential expenditure. Some Scholarships cover part of the cost of studying in the UK; for example, tuition fees only or allowances only. The application deadline is 15th November 2014.
Netherlands Fellowship Programme for Developing Countries’ Students,
Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the budget for development cooperation is offering Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) for developing country applicants. NFP will be awarded for master degree programmes, PhD and short courses. Students must be a national of one of the countries in the NFP country list valid at the time of application.
WAAW Foundation Scholarship for Undergraduate African Women, 2015
Applications are invited for WAAW Foundation 2015 scholarship. Scholarships are available for African women to study as full time students in a STEM related course at a University, College or institute of higher learning in Africa. Scholarship recipients will receive an award of $500 for the 2015 academic year or the equivalent in their country’s local currency. ICTP-IAEA Sandwich Training Educational Programme (STEP) Fellowships, 2015
IAEA Department of Technical Cooperation through the IAEA Technical Cooperation Fund is offering fellowships to candidates from the IAEA member States. These fellowships are awarded to PhD students in the fields of physics and mathematics. Erasmus Mundus Masters Scholarships
Applications are invited for Erasmus Mundus scholarship for Master of Science program in Geospatial Technologies. 32 scholarships will be offered. BOF Doctoral Scholarships
Scholarships are available for PhD students who wish to carry out half of their PhD research at Ghent University and half at a university in a developing country. Half of the PhD research is carried out in the university and half in a developing country (home country). For the remaining part of PhD Research student must prove that they will be financed at their home country (e.g. local scholarship or salary). Application should be submitted till March 4, 2014.
International Students House Residential Scholarships
This is a two year residential scholarship program for postgraduate students. Students should be from a developing or emerging country and intending to return on completion of their studies. Preference will be given to postgraduate students who are studying a course that will provide skills to assist in the development of their home country. Applications should be submitted till December 31st, 2013.
Global Change Leaders Scholarship Program
The Global Change Leaders Program is a seven-week education program at St. Francis Xavier University. Women applicants from developing countries are eligible for this scholarship. Applicant must hold a university degree or a combination of post-secondary education and experience. English language proficiency is required. Application deadline is January 17, 2014.
University of Oxford offers graduate scholarships for Egyptian students in the UK. The scholarships will provide 100% of university and college fees and a grant for living costs (rate to be confirmed). 5 scholarships are offered for the duration of the course. Full-Time MBA Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded to study MBA programme at University of Strathclyde. Suitable candidates will be considered on the basis of their MBA applications and interview performance. High Achiever Foundation Prize
These foundation courses provide an entry route to selected degrees in arts, business, engineering, science and social sciences. 2 high achiever prizes of £2,000 towards tuition fees will be awarded. Scholarship is provided in the field of governance and state-building by University of Birmingham in UK. Applicants must be African nationals domiciled (or permanent residents) in an African country. Preference will be given to scholarship candidates living in Sub-Saharan Africa. The application deadline is 19th May 2014.
Africa Regional Bursary
University of Cambridge offers Bursary for African students to pursue MBA programme. To be eligible for this bursary, applicants meet the usual requirements for the Cambridge MBA. Candidates should apply for admission to the Cambridge MBA in the normal way for applying this bursary. Cambridge Judge Business School will be offering a bursary worth up to £18,000 for a successful African candidate. The application deadline is 10 January 2014.
Lord Walston Scholarship for African Students
Scholarship is available for applicants who are working in natural resource based projects. This scholarship is available for Egyptian and other African students pursuing master degree level at University of East Anglia in UK. The scholarship covers full fees and maintenance (living expenses). Application deadline is 16th March 2014.
AFD PSIA Student Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded to study Master program in Development Practice or in International Development at Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po (PSIA). Scholarship is offered for the entire length of study at PSIA on condition of sufficient academic performance (top 50% of class). Scholarship goes towards covering tuition fees. Application deadline is February 4th, 2014.
Friends Scholarship for Master Students
Scholarship is available for Egyptian students in Globalisation and Development Studies at Arts and Social Sciences at Maastricht University. The scholarship is meant to be a contribution in the tuition fee of the master’s program at UM with a maximum of 12 months. Candidates must meet all the requirements of the application procedure. Applicants should hold a passport from an emerging country in South America, Africa or Asia. Application deadline is 1st February 2014.
