Eligible Students: To be eligible for a Train Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria. Please note that eligibility criteria can vary by competition. Course: Fellowships support individuals for pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree.

Award Details:The awards are comprehensive, covering academic tuition fees and related administrative expenses, registration fees, field work costs, living expenses, a return airfare, support with visa applications, and pastoral care while in the UK.

VLIR-UOS Scholarships for Tanzanian Master Programmes (ICP), Belgium

Eligible Students: To apply for the scholarship a candidate should be a national and resident of one of the countries of the VLIR-UOS country list for scholarships (not necessarily the same country) at the time of application.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing master’s programmes at a Flemish university.
Award Details: Applicants can apply for incremental funding up to a maximum of:€ 150.000 (for 2-year / 4 semesters / 120 credits Master programmes); € 125.000 (for 1,5 / 3 semesters / 90 credits Master programmes); € 100.000 (for 1-year / 2 semesters / 60 credits Master programmes); per year for a five-year period. Canadian Government Doctoral Research Scholarships for Tanzanian Students

Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing doctoral studies at Québec University.
Award Details:  The maximum annual value of the doctoral research scholarship for international students is $20 000. During the eligibility period (nine sessions or 36 months), the scholarship holder may receive up to nine payments totaling $60 000. Each payment of up to $6 667 covers a period of four months or one session.

 Master Scholarships for Tanzanians  and Discounts in Conflictology

Eligible Students: In order to be eligible to apply all applicants must Proven ability to implement activities related to peace and conflict management in a conflict or post-conflict context.
Course: Scholarships and discounts are available for pursuing master`s degree programme.
Award Details: Two types of tuition fees discounts exist: the UN Volunteer discount and the Least Developed Countries discount. As of 2014, the discount is of US$2,000, putting the tuition fees at US$9,400. Fees may change depending on the exchange rate. Scholarship recipients will benefit from a 50% discount on the full tuition fees, the equivalent of USD 5,700. Recipients may pay the remaining fees (USD 5,700) in up to three installments.

Eligible Students: The Candidate must be of doctoral status, with at least two years post-doctoral experience. Candidates without Higher Degrees must have equivalent research experience to be considered eligible for the scheme. Course: Fellowship is awarded to mid-career postdoctoral scientists for undertaking research.

INSEAD Greendale Foundation Scholarship for Tanzanians

Eligible Students: Candidates must be nationals from Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa (disadvantaged backgrounds), Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia or Zimbabwe (from disadvantaged backgrounds) who have undergone the major part of their education in Southern or East Africa. Preference will be given to those who have worked there prior to INSEAD. The candidate’s financial situation will also be taken into consideration.
Course: Scholarship is available for pursuing master’s degree level.
Award Details: The amount of scholarship is €35,000.

Course: Scholarship is awarded for pursuing one to two year Master’s level program in public administration, public policy or public finance at a Canadian university.
Award Details: The ALT scholarship includes:Return airfare (at the beginning and at the end of the program); Tuition fees; Monthly living allowances and one time installation allowance; Fixed allowance to cover purchase of books and attend conferences in Canada; Health insurance coverage; Fees for study permit.

Akili Dada Fellowship for Young Tanzanian Women Leaders

JNCASR-CICS Fellowship Programme for Tanzanians in India

Eligible Students: Applicant must be a scientist, teacher or a research scholar affiliated to a scientific or academic institution in a developing country in Asia (other than India), Africa, Latin America and Arab region. Applicant (other than Indian) possessing Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Science or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Medicine and allied disciplines, below 45 years of age affiliated to a scientific or academic institution in a developing country (Other than India).
Course
: Fellowships are available to undertake research studies (short-term, participatory research) in India.
Award Details: The Fellowship Applications will be scrutinized during November/December every year by a selection committee. The Fellowship covers return airfare from place of work in their home country to place of work in India, boarding and lodging at the affiliated institution/s, and an adequate allowance in Indian currency to cover incidental expenses. The CICS will facilitate the issuance of visa to the awardees. The awardees are allowed to choose the fellowship period mutually convenient to them and the host institute.

Africa’s Land and Food Masters Fellowship Programme for Tanzanians in UK

Eligible Students: Fellowships are open to Africans from Sub-Saharan Africa who have experience in agriculture, agri-business, food or natural resource management; an interest in land reform; and a desire to make a strategic and sustainable contribution to Africa’s development. In short, tomorrow’s innovators and leaders.
Course: Fellowship is available for pursuing masters programme at Royal Agricultural University.
Award Details: Scholarships cover tuition fees, board and accommodation, flights to and from the UK, provision for networking and a short industrial placement either in Africa or in the UK. Scholarships also cover incidental costs whilst in the UK and on placement; however, applicants are advised that funding does not include provision for home and family costs. Furthermore, Fellows are expected to return to their own countries following their UK studies to complete their programme and ‘begin to make a difference’.

Course: Fellowship is available for pursuing postdoctoral programme at the Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK), Kenya.
Award Details: Fellow will receive USD $15,000 per annum (award amount is based on a full-time commitment for 12 months and will be prorated accordingly if postdoc terminates before completing 12 months). Also eligible to apply for up to USD $5,000 in research-related funds upon approval of postdoc supervisors. No relocation funding is available.

Course: This is a seven week fellowship program.
Award Details: The Eisenhower Fellowships is available for individuals who have a demonstrated track record of significant professional and community achievements and who seek to tackle big challenges in the future.

TWAS-NRF Postdoctoral Fellowship for Scientists from Tanzania in South Africa

Eligible Students: Applicant must be nationals of a developing country (other than South Africa); must not hold any visa for temporary or permanent residency in South Africa or any developed country;
Course: Fellowships are available to scientists for postdoctoral research programme at research institutions in South Africa.
Award Details: NRF will provide travel to and from South Africa, a standard monthly allowance which should be used to cover living costs, such as accommodation, food and health insurance. The monthly stipend will not be convertible into foreign currency.

Award Details: The total sum of the grant is in alignment with the length of the training and varies according to the anticipated expenses in the host country, as per World Bank data. Grants are intended to cover, or offset, all costs related to the Fellowship, including travel, accommodation and living expenses. The grant is intended to cover expenses of the fellow, not his/her family.
Application Deadline: There are two applications rounds every year. You can either submit your application before May 1st or October 1st.

WAAW Foundation Scholarship for Undergraduate Tanzanian  Women

Eligible Students: Female students of African origin living in Africa, less than 32 years, have gained Undergraduate admission to a University or College in Africa and studying a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) related degree course. Candidates must demonstrate financial need and excellent academic record. Special consideration is given to underprivileged students such as orphans, girls impacted by HIV or students in first or second year of study. *Please note that WAAW does not fund graduate (masters, MBA or phd) programs, second or subsequent degrees, students older than 32 years, non-STEM focused courses or Diploma degrees.
Course: Scholarship is available for pursuing undergraduate degree level at university or college in Africa.
Award Details: Scholarship recipients receive an award of $500 for the 2017 academic year, or the equivalent in their country’s local currency. Prior scholarship recipient may reapply for renewal the following year, with proof of continued excellent academic performance.

Sri Lankan Government Presidential Scholarships for Tanzanian Students

 Ministry of Higher Education, Sri Lanka
Eligible Students: Applications are invited from eligible students for the award of undergraduate scholarships offered by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MoHER), Sri Lanka for the academic year 2014/15 and the courses are to commence in January 2017. Since this is a government to government scholarship program, candidates shall apply for this scholarship with the recommendation of the government nominating agency (i.e. Ministry or the government Institution of his/her country).
Course: Scholarships are offered for pursuing undergraduate degree program.
Award Details: A monthly living allowance of LKR 30, 000/- during the study period. It is expected that the scholarship recipient will meet the expenditure for food and accommodation with the monthly allowance of LKR 30,000/- The relevant university/higher educational institute will assist in finding suitable accommodation.

KEMRI-Wellcome Trust -IDeAL PhD Studentship for Tanzanians in Kenya

Eligible Students: Applications are invited from East Africans (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia) who have at least an upper second-class Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in biological sciences, nursing, pharmacy, public health, social sciences, economics or at least a bachelors degree medicine.
Course: Studentships are awarded for pursuing PhD programme.
Award Details: The studentships cover registration fees, research costs, travel costs, medical insurance and a monthly stipend.
