Mexican Government Scholarship Program for South Africans

International Fellowships for South Africans in Germany, 2017

: Federal Environment Ministry’s (BMU) International Climate Initiative.
Eligible Students: The first university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) must have been obtained within the past 12 years, counting from the end of the application period.
Course: This fellowship is for pursuing research prgramme in Germany.
Award Details: The fellowship amount – depending on career stage – allocated per month is 2,150 EUR or 2,450 EUR for fellows without a doctorate and 2,650 EUR for postdoctoral researchers.

IJP Southern African Journalists’ Bursary Programme for South Africans

: IJP “International Journalists Programmes” a non-profit organisation (support from governments of both sides represented by the Foreign Office of the Federal Government in Berlin and the foreign ministries of the Nordic countries)
Eligible Students:  All journalists from Southern Africa (SADC Member States and Kenya) between the age of 25 and 40 who regularly work for a media organization can apply.

EDCTP-TDR Clinical Research and Development Fellowships for South Africans

Eligible Students: The fellow must be a post-graduate (MSc or PhD) or medical graduate with clinical and/or research experience in infectious diseases
Course: Fellowships are available to early to mid-career clinical researchers and key members of clinical trial research teams to acquire experience and develop skills for conducting and implementing clinical trials outside an academic or public sector setting.
Award Details: The grant covers one economy class return ticket (home – host organisation – home); a monthly stipend; health insurance; an allowance to cover essential educational support materials; support to attend relevant meetings during the course of the fellowship; and funds to support the six month reintegration period.

Mandela Magdalene College Scholarship for South African Students

Course: Scholarships are available to study at a Japanese college of technology. A graduated grantee will be awarded a diploma and an associate degree.
Award Details: Allowance of 117,000 yen per month will be paid. (In case that the recipient research in a designated region, 2,000 or 3,000 yen per month will be added.
