Desmond Tutu Masters Scholarship for South Africans

Eligible Students: Applicants should already have been offered a place at the University and should have firmly accepted that offer or be intending to do so.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing master’s degree level at University of Edinburgh.
Award Details: The scholarship will cover the full overseas tuition fee and a maintenance allowance of £5,000.

International Space University MSc Scholarship for South Africans
Scholarship Provider: The International Space University, France
Eligible Students: This financial aid is available for applicants from Europe, the United States, Canada and Australia, developing countries and from other countries.

International Climate Protection Fellowships for South Africans
Scholarship Provider: Federal Environment Ministry’s (BMU) International Climate Initiative.
Eligible Students: The first university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) must have been obtained within the past 12 years, counting from the end of the application period.
Course: This fellowship is for pursuing research prgramme in Germany.
Award Details: The fellowship amount – depending on career stage – allocated per month is 2,150 EUR or 2,450 EUR for fellows without a doctorate and 2,650 EUR for postdoctoral researchers.

EDCTP-TDR Clinical Research and Development Fellowships
Scholarship Provider: European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) and WHO/TDR
Eligible Students: The fellow must be a post-graduate (MSc or PhD) or medical graduate with clinical and/or research experience in infectious diseases
Course: Fellowships are available to early to mid-career clinical researchers and key members of clinical trial research teams to acquire experience and develop skills for conducting and implementing clinical trials outside an academic or public sector setting.
Award Details: The grant covers one economy class return ticket (home – host organisation – home); a monthly stipend; health insurance; an allowance to cover essential educational support materials; support to attend relevant meetings during the course of the fellowship; and funds to support the six month reintegration period.
Application Deadline: The application deadlines are 28 January (Stage 1) and 21 July (Stage 2: Training plan – EDCTP only).

Louis Dreyfus-Weidenfeld Scholarship and Leadership Programme
Scholarship Provider: Louis Dreyfus Foundation and University of Oxford, UK
Eligible Students: Student should be able to demonstrate a connection between your subject of study and your longer-term career objectives, explaining how you see your professional work contributing to the improvement of public life in your country of origin or at a wider regional or international level.

Global Challenges Fellowship Program (GCFP)
Scholarship Provider: The School of Public Policy (SPP) and the Institute for Advanced Study at Central European University (CEU IAS) in Budapest, Hungary and the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, Germany
Eligible Students: Applicants must hold an academic degree (master’s, PhD or equivalent) in the social sciences, humanities, and/or law.
Course: Fellowships are available to conduct research with the goal of producing journal articles, book chapters and/or policy papers and will participate in a series of small working-group discussions and seminars.
Award Details: Fellows receive an allowance for accommodation in Budapest and Berlin as well as a monthly stipend.

Eligible Students: The fellowship is open to professionals and researchers whose work involves designing, implementing, or promoting adaptation solutions.
Course: Fellowship is available for four weeks residential programme.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Horticultural Science

IJP Southern African Journalists’ Bursary Programme

Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship

Course: Scholarships are available to study at a Japanese college of technology. A graduated grantee will be awarded a diploma and an associate degree.
